This data set describes nuclear microsatellite genotypes derived from eight autosomal loci (BCA6, BCA9, BCA11, BCA5, CRG, OXY13, TSP1.20.09 and TSP1.20.46) and a 366 base pair portion of the mitochondrial control region. A total of 665 Greater White-fronted Geese were examined by genotyping and 518 by sequencing with samples coming from its circumpolar range representing multiple flyways (Midcontinent, Pacific, Greenland, Palearctic). This dataset provides information needed to reproduce a digital model of the Nogahabara Dune Field located in interior Alaska. The Nogahabara Dunes represent one of three active inland dune fields found in Alaska today. In an effort to update geospatial coverage of the dunes lidar data was collected over Nogahabara Sand Dunes in September 2015 using a 1955 Cessna 180 aircraft equipped with a Riegl brand LMS-Q240i laser scanner. The scanner was set to 10,000 laser shots per second and a +/- 30 degree beam sweep and flown over the Koyukuk National Wildlife Refuge's Nogahabara sand dunes. Boreal Partners in Flight developed the Alaska Landbird Monitoring Survey (ALMS) primarily to monitor breeding populations of landbirds in the vast off-road areas of Alaska in conjunction with data collected from the roadside North American Breeding Bird Survey (BBS). ALMS is a collaborative program in which agencies and other entities conduct standardized surveys of breeding birds and their habitats on the lands they manage and then provide the data to the U.S. Geological Survey Alaska Science Center for analysis and archiving. This data package includes 481 geospatial vector polygons of historic fire perimeters associated with National Wildlife Refuges in Alaska. These polygons, originally held within the Alaska Large Fire Database (ALFD), were reviewed and found to have geospatial inaccuracies with respect to the fire they represent.
