Subaerial landslides at the head of Barry Arm Fjord in southern Alaska could generate tsunamis (if they rapidly failed into the Fjord) and are therefore a potential threat to people, marine interests, and infrastructure throughout the Prince William Sound region. Knowledge of ongoing landslide movement is essential to understanding the threat posed by the landslides. Because of the landslides' remote location, field-based ground monitoring is challenging. Alternatively, periodic acquisition and interferometric processing of satellite-based synthetic aperture radar data provide an accurate means to remotely monitor landslide movement. Chalk Cliffs, located 8 miles southwest of Buena Vista, Colorado, is one of the most active debris-flow areas in the state (U.S. Geological Survey). This "Child item" page includes videos of debris flows captured by one of the high-definition cameras at the monitoring site in Chalk Cliffs, CO. This camera (Wide-angle camera) is located near Station 1 on the opposite side of the basin with a broad view of the channel. The attached figure "station_and_camera_locations.png" provides an overview figure with the location of the three cameras and three stations along the channel. This data set provides a polygon shapefile delineating relatively large, slow-moving (4-17 cm/year in the radar line-of-sight direction) landslides in the continental U.S. western coastal states (California, Oregon, and Washington). The polygons also are provided in a Google Earth .kmz file. Delineated landslides were identified from displacement signals captured by InSAR (Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar) interferograms of ALOS PALSAR (Advanced Land Observing Satellite; Phased Array type L-band Synthetic Aperture Radar) images between 2007 and 2011, and ALOS-2 PALSAR-2 images between 2015 and 2019. Compilation of field data collected in the Oregon Coast Range Tyee Formation. Location, strike and dip, Relative composition and bed thickness of interbedded sandstone and siltstone, Schmidt Hammer stiffness, notes, and sampled landslide density are provided. Landslide density is calculated using the manually mapped landslide deposit polygons from LaHusen et al. (2020).

Presented here is a point cloud collected by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) using an oblique plane-mounted camera system, covering the area of the Mud Creek landslide on California State Route 1 (SR1), Mud Creek, Big Sur, California. The point cloud is referenced to previously published lidar data and contains RGB information as well as XYZ. Point cloud coordinates are in NAD83 UTM Zone 10 meters. Imagery was collected with a Nikon D800 camera in RAW format and processed using structure-from-motion photogrammetry with Agisoft PhotoScan version 1.2.8 through 1.3.2. Pointclouds were clipped to an AOI using LASTools. The AOI was created from a KMZ in Google Earth and transformed to a shapefile using ArcMap 10.5.

Structure-from-Motion (SfM) point clouds were created from images collected using a remotely piloted unoccupied aerial system over the bluffs of the eastern shore of Lake Michigan in St. Joseph, a urban residential area. The digital imagery was collected with the internal camera of a DJI Phantom 3 PRO for the July 8, 2019 data and DJI Phantom 4 PRO for the July 13, 2021 data that was operated by the University of Toledo. The images cover an extent between the intersection of Lakeshore Dr. with Lakeshore Road to the north, and South Lakeshore Dr. to the south. The data include soil texture, soil-water, and estimated soil strength properties for soil map units and from geotechnical investigations of landslide areas affecting highways in the municipalities of Lares, Naranjito, and Utuado, Puerto Rico. The map units are derived from published soil mapping (https://websoilsurvey.sc.egov.usda.gov/app/) and have been grouped by municipality, Unified Soil Classification System symbol, and order-of-magnitude ranges of hydraulic conductivity to create generalized map units for assigning soil-water parameters and soil-strength parameters. Kaiparowits Coal Basin, Utah. Landslide debris just north of Fifty-Mile Point looking west near the south end of Fifty-Mile Mountain. Landslide and debris- flow material has moved toward the viewer from near the base of the highest cliffs onto the intermediate bench of Dakota Sandstone as a sheet slide and locally has flowed down over Morrison-Entrada cliffs as a lobate debris slide. San Fernando Earthquake, February 9, 1971, 6:01am PST. (Roll 10, Frame 4). Oblique air view northeast into Pacoima Canyon, of housing development northeast of Shinsaw Ave., and Hubbard Street. (Far northeast corner of Sylmar Area). Many homes in this area were condemned due to damage during the quake.
