Probability of suitable habitat for Black Tailed Prairie Dogs for each cell of raster. Probability is measured from 0 to 1 with 0 being low habitat suitability and 1 being high suitability. Probability data is created from fitting a global third-order model to county level raster data. For details on model fitting and data used to produce probability raster see report. https://www.fws.gov/science/catalog

Classified probability of suitable habitat for Black Tailed Prairie Dogs for each cell of raster. Classification is based on 4 probability cutoff levels with category 1 being low habitat suitability and category 4 being high habitat suitability. Categorized probability data is created from fitting a global third-order model to county level raster data. For details on model fitting and data used to produce categorized probability raster see report. https://www.fws.gov/science/catalog

This dataset was collected to build on past and ongoing monitoring and research efforts within Colorado’s Rocky Mountain National Park (RMNP). Specifically, the data were collected to test the hypothesis that reductions in canopy cover due to natural disturbances (i.e. wildfire and beetle kill) result in increases in water temperature, or the longitudinal thermal gradient of a stream. Data values include stream temperature paired with light intensity data, and air temperature data to determine the influence of riparian canopy condition and longitudinal warming across a 1 km reach. Two control streams were selected: Ouzel Creek, which has virtually no riparian canopy due to a previous wildfire; and Hunters Creek,...

Stratigraphic, geochemical, and hydrologic data for the Boston Peak wetland, Larimer County, CO, USA
Comprehensive sampling of peat, underlying lakebed sediments, and coexisting waters of a naturally uraniferous montane wetland are combined with hydrologic measurements to define the important controls on uranium (U) supply and uptake. The major source of U to the wetland is groundwater flowing through locally fractured and faulted granite gneiss of Proterozoic age. Dissolved U concentrations in four springs and one seep ranged from 20 to 83 ppb (µg/l). Maximum U concentrations are ~300 ppm (mg/kg) in lakebed sediments and >3000 ppm in peat. This study documents the conditions and processes controlling the efficient uptake of U in a relatively remote, natural wetland that is absent of reported U occurrences, mining...
These data were collected as part of a field trial to test the efficacy of a sylvatic plague vaccine. Treatment and control sites were selected randomly from the available sites at each location. Site pairs were a minimum of 20 acres, (with a few exceptions). Prairie dog trapping took place a minimum of two weeks post-baiting and trapping procedures were approved by the NWHC Animal Care and Use Committee as well as individual states as required.
