Album caption: Aug. 17 earthquake shook down the earthfill on the downstream side of Hebgen Dam in southwestern Montana several feet, exposing concrete core wall (right). Crack in earth at left is not significant. Spillway under concrete slab (center) was damaged, as was core wall. Earthfill on downstream side has been repaired since this picture was taken.
