This map layer consists of federally owned or administered lands of the United States, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. For the most part, only areas of 320 acres or more are included; some smaller areas deemed to be important or significant are also included. There may be private inholdings within the boundaries of Federal lands in this map layer. ASTER is capable of collecting in-track stereo using nadir- and aft-looking near infrared cameras. Since 2001, these stereo pairs have been used to produce single-scene (60- x 60-kilomenter (km)) digital elevation models (DEM) having vertical (root-mean-squared-error) accuracies generally between 10- and 25-meters (m). In coastal areas of the United States, where water and land interface in complex and dynamic ways, it is common to find concentrated residential and commercial development. These coastal areas often contain various landholdings managed by Federal, State, and local municipal authorities for public recreation and conservation. This dataset is one part of a larger field dataset collected during March - May 2015 along the Sacramento River, near Colusa, CA. This particular dataset contains water-surface elevation and temperature data from 35 stationary pressure transducers spaced approximately every few kilometers along the Sacramento River upstream and downstream of Colusa, CA. The locations of the transducers were determined with RTK GPS with high precisions in both horizontal and vertical dimensions. The water-surface elevations were determined from the transducer pressure readings by using the nearest of six deployed barometric transducers, typically located within less than 10 kilometers.

SRTM data are organized into individual rasterized cells, or tiles, each covering one degree by one degree in latitude and longitude. Sample spacing for individual data points is either 1 arcsecond, 3 arc-seconds, or 30 arc-seconds, referred to as SRTM1, SRTM3 and SRTM30, respectively. Since one arc-second at the equator corresponds to roughly 30 meters in horizontal extent, the SRTM1 and SRTM3 are sometimes referred to as "30 meter" or "90 meter" data. SRTM data were processed and delivered continent-by-continent and data for each continent are located in a separate directory on this server.
