This U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) data release presents the geospatial data used to assess the hydrologic and soil resources and the potential effects from grazing, infrastructure, and land-management decisions in the Bureau of Land Management Organ Mountains-Desert Peaks National Monument, New Mexico. Publicly available and previously unpublished data were used to assess these resources and effects and to identify data gaps in the Organ Mountains-Desert Peaks National Monument area. This U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) data release presents the geospatial data used to assess the hydrologic and soil resources of the Organ Mountains-Desert Peaks National Monument managed by the U.S. Bureau of Land Management (BLM) in Doña Ana County, New Mexico. The USGS, in cooperation with the BLM, conducted a study to assess the hydrologic and soil resources and potential effects of infrastructure and grazing within the monument area. Publicly available data as well as data provided by the BLM were used to assess these resources and effects and to identify data gaps in the monument area.
