The data release details the samples, methods, and raw data used to generate high-quality genome assemblies for greater sage-grouse (Centrocercus urophasianus), white-tailed ptarmigan (Lagopus leucura), and trumpeter swan (Cygnus buccinator). The raw data have been deposited in the Sequence Read Archive (SRA) of the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI), the authoritative repository for public biological sequence data, and are not included in this data release. Instead, the accessions that link to those data via the NCBI portal (www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov) are provided herein. The release consists of a single file, sample.metadata.txt, which maps NCBI accessions to the samples sequenced and the different...
Distribution of Black Oystercatcher habitat in coastal British Columbia showing relative abundance (RA) by season and overall relative importance (RI). RI is based on project region and not on the province as a whole. British Columbia has been collecting coastal resource data in a systematic and synoptic manner since 1979. Resource information is collected using peer-reviewed provincial Resource Information Standards Committee which include standards for data management and analysis

This data set contains daily survival rates from 81 studies of passerine obligate grassland bird species that primarily breed in the United States; patch size information was extracted when available. Temperature and precipitation variables were calculated for the study sites and years the data were collected. The studies we used collected data across the period 1978 to 2013.

Data files in this project were used in an integrated population model for three breeding populations of Wilson’s Warbler (Cardellina pusilla). Data span the years 1992-2008. Data include counts from the North American Breeding Bird Survey (BBS; https://www.pwrc.usgs.gov/BBS/RawData/; wiwa_bbs.csv), adult capture histories (wiwa_ch.csv) and age-specific capture data (wiwa_pdat.csv) from the Monitoring Avian Productivity and Survivorship program (MAPS; http://www.birdpop.org/pages/maps.php), and covariate data derived from the ClimateNA (https://sites.ualberta.ca/~ahamann/data/climatena.html; wiwa_cmd_wt.csv and wiwa_tave_sp.csv) and National Centers for Environmental Prediction (NCEP) ⁄ National Center for Atmospheric...
This data package contains location data collected by the Argos System (CLS America, Inc.) from satellite transmitters attached to 116 Lesser Yellowlegs captured at multiple sites across their breeding and nonbreeding range in North America, 2018-2021. The raw data were processed to accomplish two goals: 1) flag implausible location and 2) remove locations within Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER) and Eielson Air Force Base boundaries. Removal of locations in military land boundaries is required due to federal guidelines by Department of Defense (DoD) Public Affairs office and DoD Partners in Flight. Due to data sharing constraints of participating agencies, not all the locations (i.e., latitude and longitude)...
This dataset contains detection-nondetection data for territorial pairs of Golden Eagles at survey sites randomly selected from a grid of equal-sized (13.9 km2) hexagonal sample cells overlaid across the region of interest in Coastal Southern California during 2016 and 2017. We partitioned surveys within seasons based on approximate transition dates for stages in the breeding cycle of golden eagles in the study region: courtship (15 Dec-28 Feb), incubation (1 Mar-30 Apr), nestling (1 May-15 Jun), and the fledging-dependency period (16 June-Jul 30), totaling 4 possible sampling periods per year. This dataset also describes the proportion of land-cover types from four general categories (urban, open grassland, scrub...
Distribution of diving duck species habitat in coastal British Columbia showing relative abundance (RA) by season and overall relative importance (RI). These data include nest-specific information about Arizona Grasshopper Sparrow nests monitored during 2011 to 2013. The data are formatted as we used them in Program MARK to evaluate factors affecting daily nest survival. Data includes information on when the nest was found, when it was last known to be active, nest fate, and nest age. In addition, we provide vegetation data from the nest site itself and the nest plot as well as summary seasonal precipitation data collected from other sources and used in these analyses.

This data release includes data and metadata on 1) avian diet 2) seed rain 3) understory plant composition 4) seedling abundance and 5) sampling locations for these sites. In addition it includes data on seedling abundance, grass cover and light levels for a grass removal/seed addition experiment . All sites were within Hakalau Forest National Wildlife Refuge on Hawaii Island. This study looked at multiple biotic interactions that potentially lead to self-reinforcing feedbacks within intact forest and degraded forest sites. The avian diet data, in particular, encompasses three years of fecal sample collection from spring time mist netting activities. We identified all seeds that were found in fecals to give an idea...
