We provide genetic and distribution data for the Louisiana Pigtoe, Pleurobema riddellii, to guide decisions related to federal protection for the species under the U.S. Endangered Species Act. Our final dataset includes 125 COI sequences generated as part of our study representing P. riddellii from eight North American river basins. This includes the COI sequence we generated from a museum specimen collected from the Trinity River in the late 1900s, which is the first genetic confirmation of P. riddellii in the Trinity River basin. Also included are sequences from specimens initially identified as Fusconaia cerina (n=3) Fusconaia flava (n=1), Fusconaia sp. (n=5), Pleurobema sintoxia (n=10), and Pustulosa pustulosa...
The dataset includes flood-frequency data and related files for 211 streamgages operated by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) in Louisiana and parts of the surrounding states of Arkansas, Mississippi, and Texas as well as assembled explanatory variables (physical, climatic, and land-use characteristics of the basins). The data in this release were used in generalized least-squares (GLS ) regression analyses (Stedinger and Tasker, 1985) to generate equations used to predict annual exceedance probabilities (AEPs) at ungaged locations on streams in the study area (Ensminger and others, 2021). Flood-frequency analyses were conducted using annual peak-flow data from the 1877-2016 water years to estimate streamflows...

Water-borne towed transient electromagnetic method, commonly referred to as FloaTEM, was acquired along a single survey track on the Ouachita River during October 2018. During the survey, 39.75 line-kilometers were collected near Blankston, Louisiana study area. Data were collected by members of the U.S. Geological Survey, Hydrogeophysics Branch, and Lower-Mississippi Gulf Science Center and the Aarhus University Hydrogeophysics Group. FloaTEM data acquired along the approximately 40 line kilometers of the Ouachita River in Caldwell County, in Louisiana, were collected to characterize the subsurface resistivity structure in support of a U.S. Geological Survey groundwater investigation of the Mississippi Alluvial...
Water-borne towed transient electromagnetic method, commonly referred to as FloaTEM, was acquired along a single survey track on the Ouachita River during October 2018. During the survey, approximately 46.15 line-kilometers were collected near Monroe, Louisiana study area. Data were collected by members of the U.S. Geological Survey, Hydrogeophysics Branch, and Lower-Mississippi Gulf Science Center and the Aarhus University Hydrogeophysics Group. FloaTEM data acquired along the approximately 46.1 line kilometers of the Ouachita River in Ouachita Parish, in Louisiana, were collected to characterize the subsurface resistivity structure in support of a U.S. Geological Survey groundwater investigation of the Mississippi...
Water-borne towed transient electromagnetic method, commonly referred to as FloaTEM, was acquired along a single survey track on the Ouachita River during October 2018. During the survey, approximately 15.85 line-kilometers were collected near Monroe, Louisiana study area. Data were collected by members of the U.S. Geological Survey, Hydrogeophysics Branch, and Lower-Mississippi Gulf Science Center and the Aarhus University Hydrogeophysics Group. FloaTEM data acquired along the approximately 15.9 line kilometers of the Eutah Bend in Ouachita Parish, in Louisiana, were collected to characterize the subsurface resistivity structure in support of a U.S. Geological Survey groundwater investigation of the Mississippi...
Water-borne towed transient electromagnetic method, commonly referred to as FloaTEM, was acquired along a single survey track on the Big Sunflower River during October 2018. During the survey, approximately 8.89 line-kilometers were collected in Sunflower County near Indianola, Mississippi. Data were collected by members of the U.S. Geological Survey, Hydrogeophysics Branch, and Lower-Mississippi Gulf Science Center and the Aarhus University Hydrogeophysics Group. FloaTEM data acquired along the approximately 8.9 line kilometers were collected to characterize the subsurface resistivity structure in support of a U.S. Geological Survey groundwater investigation of the Mississippi Alluvial Plain. FloaTEM data were...
