These data were released prior to the October 1, 2016 effective date for the USGS’s policy dictating the review, approval, and release of scientific data as referenced in USGS Survey Manual Chapter 502.8 Fundamental Science Practices: Review and Approval of Scientific Data for Release. The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) has calculated over 25 different basin characteristics as part of preparing the West Virginia StreamStats 2021 application. These datasets are raster representations of various environmental, geological, and land use attributes within the West Virginia StreamStats 2021 study area and will be served in the West Virginia StreamStats 2021 application to describe delineated watersheds. The StreamStats application provides access to spatial analytical tools that are useful for water-resources planning and management, and for engineering and design purposes.
