This dataset contains U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) field surveyed data at two dam-removal sites in Connecticut (Olson and Simeone, 2021). The USGS field data are used to support the development of one-dimensional and two-dimensional U.S. Army Corps of Engineer (USACE) Hydrologic Engineering Center’s River Analysis System (HEC-RAS) models for the post-dam removal conditions. The referenced models were used to study fish passage and flood risk along the simulated reaches in the various states simulated. These data consist of Global Navigation Satellite System-derived orthometric heights in the North American Vertical Datum of 1988 and projected horizontal coordinates in the North American Datum of 1983 Connecticut...
This dataset contains U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) developed hydrology data at nine dam removal and culvert retrofit sites in the northeastern United States (Olson and Simeone, 2021). Hydrology was estimated for the river reaches of the hydraulic models. The hydrology estimated generally included flood flows for the 50-, 20-, 10-, 4-, 2-, 1-, 0.5-, and 0.2-percent annual exceedance probability, and mean monthly streamflows. The hydrology data are used to support the development of one-dimensional and two-dimensional U.S. Army Corps of Engineer (USACE) Hydrologic Engineering Center’s River Analysis System (HEC-RAS) models for both the pre- and post-dam removal and culvert-retrofit conditions. The referenced models...
This dataset contains US Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) supplied data, for eight dam-removal sites in the northeastern United States (Olson and Simeone, 2021). The USFWS provided the U.S. Geological Survey with data to support the development of one-dimensional and two-dimensional U.S. Army Corps of Engineer (USACE) Hydrologic Engineering Center’s River Analysis System (HEC-RAS) models for the pre-dam removal conditions. The referenced models were used to evaluate fish passage and flood risk along the simulated reaches in the various states simulated. These data consist of topographic, bathymetric, and hydraulic structure data which are primarily in the form of .dgw computer-aided design files, available hydraulic...
This dataset contains U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) developed hydraulic models, USGS developed hydrology data, US Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) supplied data (topography/bathymetry and structure data for pre removal conditions), and USGS field surveyed data at nine dam-removal and culvert-retrofit sites in the northeastern United States (Olson and Simeone, 2021). The hydrology, the USFWS supplied and USGS field data are used to support the development of one-dimensional and two-dimensional U.S. Army Corps of Engineer (USACE) Hydrologic Engineering Center’s River Analysis System (HEC-RAS) models for both the pre- and post-dam removal and culvert-retrofit conditions. The referenced models were used to evaluate...

The HEC-RAS hydraulic models include data for the models and model output files.
