Form a panorama of gently dipping lava flows and tuff beds, as seen looking down San Francisco Creek. Dog Mountain, center is capped by a remnant of latite and basalt of the Hinsdale formation; the upper steep slopes are Piedra rhyolite, the lower ones are Alboroto rhyolite.
