This dataset includes thin section images, automated mineralogy mineral maps, whole-rock geochemical data, and whole-rock Nd-Sr-Pb isotopic analysis of samples collected from nine mafic-ultramafic outcrops in the Wet Mountains, southern Colorado, during the summer of 2022. These data will accompany an upcoming journal publication and are intended to supplement recently collected airborne magnetic and ground gravity data that indicate a mostly buried mafic-ultramafic intrusion of unknown age (Grauch et al., 2023; Magnin and Anderson, 2023; Magnin et al., 2023). Outcrop locations were identified based on previous mapping by Taylor (1974). A single thin section was made from each sample, and both plain- and cross-polarized...
USGS Geochron is a database of geochronological and thermochronological dates and data. The USGS Geochron: Data Compilation Templates data release hosts Microsoft Excel-based data compilation templates for the USGS Geochron database. Geochronological and thermochronological methods currently archived in the USGS Geochron database include radiocarbon, cosmogenic (10Be, 26Al, 3He), fission track, (U-Th)/He, U-series, U-Th-Pb, 40Ar/39Ar, K-Ar, Lu-Hf, Rb-Sr, Sm-Nd, and Re-Os dating methods. A joint project between Nevada Bureau of Mines and Geology and New Mexico Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources this Journal was published between 1971 and 1996. Its purpose was to provide geochronological datasets focused on the western United States and the world. Latitude and Longitude data is regional since many articles had multiple states or counties.
