These data were compiled for a manuscript in which 1) we develop a water temperature model for the major river segments and tributaries of the Colorado River basin, including the Colorado, Green, Yampa, White, and San Juan rivers; 2) we link modeled water temperature to fish population data to predict the probability native and nonnative species will be common in the future in a warming climate; and 3) assess the degree to which dams create thermal discontinuity in summer in river segments across the western US. Per goal #1, we developed a water temperature model using data spanning 1985-2015 that predicts water temperature every 1 mile (1.6-km) in rivers both now and in the future due to the potential influence...

RiverWare simulated daily averaged surface water permit requested diversions and diversions modeled in the spatially refined model region within the Red River Basin. Values reported are for 18 different climate projection scenarios and a historical scenario, from 2010 through 2099 and 1976 through 2005, respectively. The RiverWare model was used to determine the impacts on regulated flows, resevoir levels, and water permit reliability. RiverWare was used for this project because of its ability to simulate water use, reservoir operations, and local/interstate regulations.

This data release contains input and output data from hydrologic simulations of streamflow conditions in the Red River Basin (RRB) using the Precipitation-Runoff Modeling System (PRMS). The RRB PRMS model predicts components of the water balance at 3065 hydrologic response units (HRU) and streamflow for 1614 stream segments within the model domain for the simulation period 1981 to 2016. The data release contains two shapefiles: (1) a map of HRUs in the model domain and (2) a map of stream segments in the model domain. In addition to the shapefiles, the data release includes files containing the calibrated parameters of the RRB PRMS model as well as model inputs and outputs. The model inputs are (1) climate data,...
Modeled soil moisture raster maps (4km-pixels) displaying volumetric water content (VWC) and fraction of available water (FAW) in 10-cm depth increments for the 2015-2019 period for the Red River and Rio Grande basins.

RiverWare simulated daily regulated streamflow data for modeled locations in the spatially refined model region within the Red River Basin. Values reported are for 18 different climate projection scenarios and a historical scenario, from 2010 through 2099 and 1976 through 2005, respectively. The RiverWare model was used to determine the impacts on regulated flows, lake levels and water permit reliability. RiverWare was used for this project because of its ability to simulate water use, reservoir operations, and local/interstate regulations.
This dataset includes the modeled distributions of 31 fish species across the Red River under historical conditions and 9 future climate scenarios. Species distributions were modeled using a suite of environmental covariates derived from high-resolution hydrologic and climatic modeling of the basin. The dataset includes Maxent model outputs of the distributions of 31 fish species in the Red River of Oklahoma and Texas. Data are probability of occurrence maps for the 31 species for historical and future (year 2050) time periods for each of nine climate scenarios.

RiverWare simulated daily reservoir volumes for modeled locations in the spatially refined model region within the Red River Basin. Values reported are for 18 different climate projection scenarios and a historical scenario, from 2010 through 2099 and 1976 through 2005, respectively. The RiverWare model was used to determine the impacts on regulated flows, resevoir levels, and water permit reliability.
