These data are part of the Gulf Watch Alaska (GWA) long-term monitoring program, nearshore monitoring component. The dataset is comprised of six comma separated values (.csv) file exported from a relational database. The data consist of 1) summer marine bird and mammal densities, 2) winter marine bird and mammal densities, 3) summer marine bird and mammal observations, 4) winter marine bird and mammal observations, 5) summer marine bird and mammal survey strip transects, and 6) winter marine bird and mammal survey strip transects. These data describe the distribution and abundance of Hydropsyche, a widespread and diverse genus of net-spinning caddisflies, in the Colorado River Basin. Abundance data, measured as catch rates, were collected by citizen scientists using light traps. We subsampled Hydropsyche spp. from light trap samples collected throughout the Colorado River Basin and measured the lengths and widths of mesothoracic tibia and first tarsal segments. Samples and measurements were processed at Grand Canyon Monitoring and Research Center in Flagstaff, AZ.

Greater sage-grouse (Centrocercus urophasianus) have been declining both spatially and numerically throughout their range due to anthropogenic disturbance and loss and fragmentation of sagebrush (Artemisia spp.) habitats. Understanding how sage-grouse respond to these habitat alterations and disturbances, particularly the types of disturbances and extent at which they respond, is critical to designing management actions and prioritizing areas of conservation. These data were compiled to evaluate the effects of low steady weekend flows on emergent aquatic insects during the first year of experimental Bug Flows below Glen Canyon Dam (2018) and recreation in Glen Canyon in the second year of Bug Flows (2019). Data files in this data series represent migrating bird count and habitat information collected during 1989, 1991, 1993, and 1994 field seasons at 13 riparian sites along the San Pedro River and its tributaries in southeastern Arizona, USA. At each site observations were made at up to 20 points, separated by 100 m arrayed along the riparian zone. A biologist and field crew from Northern Prairie Wildlife Research Center visited sites nine times throughout the breeding season (late May to mid-July) to record counts of grassland birds.
