This Benthic Invertebrate Community Analysis dataset, a conceptual subgroup of the Lake Erie Ecological Investigations (LEEI) dataset, focuses on the benthic invertebrates sampled at Areas of Concern (AOCs) on Lake Erie. Per the Quality Assurance Project Plan (QAPP), the invertebrate samples were taken from sediments remaining from the sediment analysis. Identification of the invertebrates was completed by the same invertebrate taxonomist for both the 1998-2000 evaluation and 1986-87 historical evaluation (Smith et al. 1994) for increased consistency. These data were compiled for a networked field-trial restoration experiment (RestoreNet) that spans the southwestern US, including 21 distributed field sites. Weighted Regressions on Time, Discharge and Season (WRTDS) and WRTDS with Kalman filtering (WRTDS_K) models were developed for total and dissolved cadmium, zinc and lead; total phosphorus and nitrogen; and dissolved orthophosphate at twelve sites in the Spokane River watershed, northern Idaho, for water years 1990 to 2018. The data table contains the annual mean concentrations and annual total loads estimated by WRTDS_K, and the flow-normalized annual mean concentrations and flow-normalized annual total loads estimated by WRTDS for each modeled site and constituent.
Proliferation of cheatgrass and other exotic annual grasses such as medusahead and ventenata are a major environmental concern and operational problem for roadsides in Idaho. These annual grasses are highly flammable and they shorten fire-return intervals. Objective(s) of our study were to assess patterns in reclamation outcomes relative to 1) soil attributes, climate, and time since 39 reclamation and 2) plant and soil reference benchmarks. These data represent observations of vegetation and soil cover from 134 reclaimed oil and gas well pads and 583 AIM reference plots. This dataset contains observations used to better understand the initial establishment of sagebrush (Artemisia sp.), in the first 1-2 years post-wildfire. Field data come from 460 sagebrush populations sampled across the Great Basin and many GIS-derived co-variates are included as well.

The 'Vulture: Final Report Soil Remediation Services at Vulture' file is part of the A. F. Budge Mining Ltd. Mining collection. A. F. Budge Mining Ltd., a British company owned by Tony Budge, controlled properties across several western U. S. states and northern Mexico.
