Surveys for immature life stages of Papilio godeffroyi were conducted on 117 individually marked host trees (Micromelum minutum) in eight forest stands on Tutuila Island, American Samoa, at approximately monthly intervals during 2013-2014. The eight stands were mostly in or adjacent to the National Park of American Samoa (NPSA), but one site was sampled near the western tip of Tutuila, outside NPSA. Papilio life stages included eggs, eggshells, larvae, pupae, and exuviae, which were taken to the laboratory at American Samoa Community College for examination and processing. Specimens were reared (live specimens) or assessed (dead or inert specimens) to determine their reproductive outcome and rates of parasitism....
Conductivity-Temperature-Depth (CTD) profile data were collected along transects and across study areas of west Hawaii Island between 2010 and 2014. Measurements were made over a range of tide and weather conditions and help characterize the spatial extent and variability in estuarine conditions across the reef when grouped by 1 to 2-hour survey period or by season.

Spatial measurements of water temperature, specific conductance, salinity, pH, and dissolved oxygen between 0.25 and 0.50 m water depth were collected every 10-seconds along and across shore at 12 principal study areas along west Hawaii Island. Measurements were made between 2010 and 2013 during different seasons and tide states over the course of 1.0 to 2.5 hours to evaluate the spatial and temporal extent of water properties that influence coral reef health and coral reef habitat availability.

Time-series data of water level, water temperature, and salinity were collected at 10 locations along west Hawaii Island between 2010 and 2011 in nearshore coral reef settings. Conductivity-temperature-depth sensors were attached to fossil limestone, rock, or dead coral within otherwise healthy coral reef settings spanning water depths of 8 to 23 ft. Continuous measurements were made every 10 or 20 minutes.

Diploid and triploid Grass Carp (Ctenopharyngodon Idella) tagged with acoustic transmitters were observed in Truman Reservoir, Missouri from February 2017 to March 2019 to determine habitat usage in winter. Habitat parameters were measured at used and available sites to model habitat preference. In addition, tagged fish were targeted during removal attempts to determine the efficacy of using tagged Judas Grass Carp in removing wild conspecifics. This dataset includes information on tagged Grass Carp and habitats they selected as well as capture events and characteristics of the wild fish caught during these attempts.
These data were compiled to examine rates of skipped migration in adult humpback chub that spawn in the Little Colorado River (LCR). These data include mark-recapture information from the lower 13.56 kilometers of the LCR and from the Colorado River, from river kilometer 105.5-145.7 downstream of Glen Canyon Dam. Data also include detections from a multiplexer array (MUX) that is located in the LCR and from submersible PIT tag antennas that are deployed in parts of the Colorado River. These data are capture histories that include both spring and fall sampling events that occurred between spring 2009 and spring 2019. Capture histories can include information about size (small adults being 200-249mm total length and...
Seafloor photographs were collected by SCUBA divers along pre-determined transects using an underwater digital camera following benthic survey protocols developed by the National Park Service (NPS) at Kaloko-Honokohau National Historical Park (Marrack and others, 2014; Weijerman and others, 2014) and modeled after the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) and NPS coral reef survey protocols (Rogers and others, 2001; Brown and others, 2011). This dataset includes seafloor photographs in jpg format, the locations of which are described in the accompanying comma-separated files. These data were compiled to explore the foraging ecology of Rainbow Trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) in the Colorado River, Grand Canyon, Arizona. These data represent samples characterizing the availability of drifting invertebrate prey (hereafter, drift) and use of these invertebrate prey by rainbow trout determined by gut samples (hereafter, diets). Drift and diet sampling occurred in five distinct reaches downstream of Glen Canyon Dam (river kilometer (rkm) from the dam): (I) rkm 16.3-21.7; (II) rkm 52.8-58.3; (III) rkm 86.6-91.9; (IV) rkm 122.0-123.6; and (V) rkm 127.1-129.6. Samples were taken on 12 trips in April, July, September and January from April 2012 through January 2015. The aquatic prey base consists...

These data consist of environmental covariates and estimated plot-level mortality of ponderosa pine trees. Environmental covariates include growing season temperature and soil moisture, and values are summarized into long-term mean conditions, and anomalies observed between forest inventory sampling events for each plot. Data also include plot locations (with uncertainty introduced by the US Forest Service to maintain private property rights), plot basal area, and several variables related to estimated mortality rate of ponderosa pine trees under various assumptions about basal area conditions.
These data were compiled from sampling pre-dam flood terraces and sand bar deposits of the Colorado River in Glen Canyon between Glen Canyon Dam and the Paria River confluence. This includes sand deposits from the 2008, 2012, 2013 and 2014 high flow experiments (HFE) in Marble Canyon. Sand sources from these locations were sampled in September/October of 2013 and 2014. Also, samples of suspended sediment from a selection of Paria River flash floods that preceded the 2013 and 2014 high flow experiments were collected. The suspended sediment samples were wet sieved to separate the <63-micron fraction at the Grand Canyon Monitoring and Research Center. A Niton XL3-t 955 portable XRF was used to measure the elemental...
Time-series data of water temperature were collected at 33 locations along the west coast of the Island of Hawaii, including within Kaloko-Honokohau National Historical Park (KAHO), and Puu o Honaunau National Historical Park (PUHO) between 2010 and 2013 in nearshore coral reef and anchialine pool settings. Temperature sensors were attached to fossil limestone, rock or dead coral within otherwise healthy coral reef settings spanning water depths of 0.1 to 8.84 m (0.3 to 29.0 ft). Continuous measurements were made every 10 or 20 minutes. Due to the large amount of data, the dataset has been split into three files. WaterTempTimeSeries_KAHO-KC.csv includes data from nearshore coral reef locations within Kaloko Bay,...
