CalVeg Vegetation Data, San Joaquin River NWR

This dataset depicts land cover and vegetation for San Joaquin River NWR. It uses the most current version of CalVeg from the U.S. Forest Service and is clipped to the refuge boundary. This Existing Vegetation (Eveg) polygon feature class is a CALVEG (Classification and Assessment with LANDSAT of Visible Ecological Groupings) map product from a scale of 1:24,000 to 1:100,000 for CALVEG Zone 6, the Central Coast . Source imagery for this layer ranges from 1997 - 2013. The CALVEG classification system was used for vegetation typing and crosswalked to other classification systems in this database. USGS Land Use / Land Cover Anderson 1 classification system is included in the database to meet national standard...
