Data from the Inventory of Montane-nesting Birds in the Arctic Network of National Parks, Alaska, 1988-2003

This package contains information collected during avian and habitat survey data at five national parks/monuments: Cape Krusenstern National Monument, Gates of the Arctic National Park and Preserve, Kobuk Valley National Park, Noatak National Preserve, and Bering Land Bridge National Preserve. The objectives of the surveys were to document the occurrence of 90 percent of the bird species likely to occur in montane habitats and determine the distribution and abundance of species of special concern.

Alaska Geochemical Database Version 4.0 (AGDB4) including best value data compilations for rock, sediment, soil, mineral, and concentrate sample media

The Alaska Geochemical Database Version 4.0 (AGDB4) contains geochemical data compilations in which each geologic material sample has one best value determination for each analyzed species, greatly improving efficiency of use. The relational database includes historical geochemical data archived in the USGS National Geochemical Database (NGDB), the Atomic Energy Commission National Uranium Resource Evaluation (NURE) Hydrogeochemical and Stream Sediment Reconnaissance databases, and the Alaska Division of Geological and Geophysical Surveys (DGGS) Geochemistry database. USGS Alaska Science Center Adult Shorebird Morphological Measurement Data

This dataset consists of three tables, 1) taxonomy, 2) contributors, and 3) shorebird morphological measurements collected from various species captured from 1977-2021. In addition, photographs of plumage patterns are available for several species. Researchers with the U.S. Geological Survey - Alaska Science Center, along with collaborators from many government agencies and research institutions, have studied shorebirds at numerous sites across North America, the Pacific Ocean, Australia, and New Zealand. This release includes over 10,000 observations relating to 35 shorebird species.
