This section of the data release includes core log and spectrophotometry data in the format of a comma-separated value (CSV) file (2018LakePowellCoring_CoreLogData.csv). It is Part 3 (of four) in this data release and provides geophysical core logs at 0.5-cm intervals from a Multi-Sensor Core Logger and Konica Minolta spectrophotometer. This CSV includes the depth in section and hole for each logged point, p-wave amplitude and velocity, gamma density, loop- and point-sensor magnetic susceptibility, electrical resistivity, colorspace data, and measured reflectance wavelengths. Drillhole information, such as location and total recovery, are outlined in “Part 1 – Drillhole information from the 2018 coring project in...

This section of the data release includes core and core section information in the format of a comma-separated value (CSV) file (2018LakePowellCoring_CoreSectionInfo.csv). It is Part 2 (of four) in this data release and provides detailed core information. Complete recovery of a core resulted in approximately 3 m of sediment, which was sectioned into lengths not exceeding 1.5 m shipboard. Thus, all cores with >50% recovery contain multiple sections. This CSV includes drillhole, core, and core section identifiers, section lengths, section tops and bottoms, scaled section tops and bottoms, filenames for corresponding core images, and drilling comments. Drillhole information, such as location and total recovery, are...

This child item contains self-potential (SP) data collected over a small alpine wetland between Mogul Mine and Cement Creek located near Silverton, Colorado. Mine-impacted water is transported to Cement Creek via surface channels and groundwater through this wetland. The SP method measures passive voltages in the subsurface using a high impedance voltmeter with one fixed electrode at a base station and one mobile electrode. Strong self-potential anomalies have been associated with ore bodies and sharp redox fronts. Data were collected with an Agilent U1252B multimeter with STELTH3 Ag-AgCl Model SRE-011-SPB porous pot electrodes. Additional details are contained in the ‘readme.txt’ file within this directory.

On September 25, 1998, SIAL Géosciences Inc. (SIAL) was awarded Department of Interior, contract 98CRCN1018, by the U.S. Geological Survey. This contract required SIAL to carry out a high-sensitivity magnetic and electromagnetic helicopter survey over one block located in the Eureka Graben Area near Silverton, Colorado. The primary goal of this project was to provide digitally recorded and processed magnetic and electromagnetic data in order to evaluate geologic and hydrologic resources of the Eureka Graben Area. The base of on-site field operations was Silverton, Colorado. The survey was carried out by SIAL between May 27th and June 9th, 1999. This report describes the survey parameters, data acquisition and processing...
