The U.S. Geological Survey collected topographic data in cooperation with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to assist in the management of two recreation areas at Blue Mountain Lake and near Nimrod Lake in Arkansas. Data were collected March 3-4, 2020 using terrestrial light detection and ranging (T-lidar) surveying equipment, Global navigation Satellite System (GNSS) surveying equipment, and conventional surveying techniques. The surveyed locations had a parking area, boat ramp, and some small recreational structures. Each site was surveyed using a FARO 3D tripod-mounted T-lidar unit. Additionally, a topographic survey was conducted in order to georeference the lidar survey. These topographic data were collected...
This dataset describes the Survey Data collected for the Planning Assistance to the States (PAS) study along Little Sugar Creek and selected tributaries, near Bella Vista, Arkansas, and Pineville, Missouri, December 2019. Little Sugar Creek is a tributary to the Elk River in Missouri that commences in Benton County, Arkansas and terminates in McDonald County, Missouri. The stream headwaters are located southeast of Garfield, Arkansas. Little Sugar Creek flows through Bella Vista, Arkansas, and runs north to its confluence with the Big Sugar Creek just south of Pineville, Missouri where it forms the Elk River. Browning Creek, Blowing Spring Creek, Spanker Creek and McKisic Creek are all tributaries to the Little...

Topographic data were collected at a recreation site on the Fourche La Fave River, about 5 miles upstream from Nimrod, Arkansas, on March 4, 2020, using terrestrial light detection and ranging (T-lidar), Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS), and conventional surveying techniques (Rydlund and Densmore, 2012). These data are high-resolution topography in laser scan format, collected using a tripod mounted T-lidar at multiple scan setups. Data collection software integrated and stored the range and angular measurements from the T-lidar equipment. Computer software was used to process the raw data, align the various scans in reference to one another, classify the data, and extract the topography data in a useable...
Topographic data were collected at Hise Hill Recreation Center on the Petit Jean River about 2 miles upstream from Blue Mountain Lake on March 3, 2020, using terrestrial light detection and ranging (T-lidar), Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS), and conventional surveying techniques. These data are high-resolution topography in laser scan format, collected using a tripod mounted T-lidar at multiple scan setups. Data collection software integrated and stored the range and angular measurements from the T-lidar equipment. Computer software was used to process the raw data, align the various scans in reference to one another, classify the data, and extract the topography data in a useable format. The data were...
