This feature class was created to assemble oil and gas well information for a comprehensive inventory of energy data pertinent to the Wyoming Landscape Conservation Initiative decision-making process. These data are available as online resources for scientists, resource managers engaged in the Initiative, and other researchers. The GIS data and map services created for this study are available for interactive analysis and/or download at the Energy Geoscience Center WLCI website.

The Assessment Unit is the fundamental unit used in the National Assessment Project for the assessment of undiscovered oil and gas resources. The Assessment Unit is defined within the context of the higher-level Total Petroleum System. The Assessment Unit is shown herein as a geographic boundary interpreted, defined, and mapped by the geologist responsible for the province and incorporates a set of known or postulated oil and (or) gas accumulations sharing similar geologic, geographic, and temporal properties within the Total Petroleum System, such as source rock, timing, migration pathways, trapping mechanism, and hydrocarbon type. The Assessment Unit boundary is defined geologically as the limits of the geologic...

These data were released prior to the October 1, 2016 effective date for the USGS’s policy dictating the review, approval, and release of scientific data as referenced in USGS Survey Manual Chapter 502.8 Fundamental Science Practices: Review and Approval of Scientific Data for Release. These datasets each consist of a workspace (folder) containing a collection of gridded datasets plus a personal geodatabase containing several vector datasets. These datasets are designed to be used with the ArcHydro Tools, developed by ESRI in partnership with the U.S. Geological Survey, StreamStats Development Team. The datasets, together with the ArcHydro Tools, allow users to delineate watersheds and compute several watershed...

These data were released prior to the October 1, 2016 effective date for the USGS’s policy dictating the review, approval, and release of scientific data as referenced in USGS Survey Manual Chapter 502.8 Fundamental Science Practices: Review and Approval of Scientific Data for Release. These datasets each consist of a folder containing a personal geodatabase of the NHD, and shapefiles used in the HydroDEM process. These files are provided as a means to document exactly which lines were used to develop the HydroDEMs. Each folder contains a line shapefile named for the 8-digit HUC code, containing the NHD flowlines that comprise the coastline for that island. The “hydrolines.shp” shapefile contains the lines that...

These data are in support of report DS 456 (Arnold and others, 2009). Data set contains point locations of 20 wells located in areas overlying the High Plains Aquifer in Colorado having a depth to water less than 180 feet, a saturated thickness greater than 50 feet, and underlying irrigated agricultural lands. Well completion data are included.

This dataset consists of a personal geodatabase containing several vector datasets. This database contains the information needed to link the HUCs together so a watershed may be delineated that spans more than one 8-digit HUC. These datasets may be used with the ArcHydro Tools, developed by ESRI in partnership with the U.S. Geological Survey, StreamStats Development Team. The datasets, together with the ArcHydro Tools and the ArcHydro...

These data were released prior to the October 1, 2016 effective date for the USGS’s policy dictating the review, approval, and release of scientific data as referenced in USGS Survey Manual Chapter 502.8 Fundamental Science Practices: Review and Approval of Scientific Data for Release. The locations of approximately 23,000 current and historical U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) streamgages in the United States and Puerto Rico (with the exception of Alaska) have been snapped to the medium resolution National Hydrography Dataset (NHD). The NHD contains geospatial information about mapped surface-water features, such as streams, lakes, and reservoirs, etc., creating a hydrologic network that can be used to determine...

These data were released prior to the October 1, 2016 effective date for the USGS’s policy dictating the review, approval, and release of scientific data as referenced in USGS Survey Manual Chapter 502.8 Fundamental Science Practices: Review and Approval of Scientific Data for Release. This dataset is the digital hydrologic unit boundary layer for the 8-digit subwatershed boundaries for the conterminous United States. This dataset is intended to be used with the following two tabular dBase files: https://water.usgs.gov/lookup/getspatial?ds573_tillage_lu92e and https://water.usgs.gov/lookup/getspatial?ds573_tillage_lu01. The two tabular datasets contain the Tillage Practices in the Conterminous United States, 1989-2004---Datasets...

This dataset consists of a workspace (folder) containing 41 gridded datasets and a personal geodatabase. The gridded datasets consist of 28 precipitation-frequency grids, a mean annual precipitation grid, eight land cover grids, two soil permeability grids, a synthetic stream grid, and a region grid used in the Hawaii StreamStats application for peak flow estimates. The personal geodatabase contains a polygon feature class of exclusion...

These data were released prior to the October 1, 2016 effective date for the USGS’s policy dictating the review, approval, and release of scientific data as referenced in USGS Survey Manual Chapter 502.8 Fundamental Science Practices: Review and Approval of Scientific Data for Release. Perennial streams in Idaho have been modeled using regression equations for 7-day, 2-year low flows (7Q2) described in Wood and others (2009, U.S. Geological Survey Scientific Investigations Report 2009-5015). The model produces "synthetic" streams based on 10-meter resolution digitial elevation models that have been processed to agree closely with 1:24,000-scale National Hydrography Dataset flowlines. Lines having attribute PerCode...

These data are in support of report DS 472 (Arnold and others, 2009). This data set represents the saturated thickness of the High Plains aquifer within Colorado. The water levels used in generating the water-table data were collected from High Plains wells in the year 2000. Saturated thickness was derived by subtracting aquifer-base elevation from water-table elevation.
This page provides access to antiquated versions of the North American Breeding Bird Survey (BBS) dataset. These versions are in an older, legacy format and are presented here under one digital object identifier, doi:10.5066/P9YASED1. Please note that this supersedes two prior identifiers, doi:10.5066/F7Q81B46 (original 1966-2014 release) and doi:10.5066/F71R6NK8 (original 1966-2015 release). Unless visitors have a specific need for these archived data, they should return to the Main BBS Dataset Page and choose the most recent data release, as that one will include all BBS data released to date: www.sciencebase.gov/catalog/item/52b1dfa8e4b0d9b325230cd9.
