This tabular data set represents monthly average temperature values (Celsius) described in Wolock and McCabe (2018), compiled for the NHDPlus version 2 data suite (NHDPlusV2) for the conterminous United States. Linkage of the temperature data with NHDPlusV2 is achieved through the common unique identifier COMID. The temperature values are estimated both for: 1) individual reach catchments and 2) reach catchments accumulated upstream through the river network. The reach catchment information characterizes data at the local scale, whereas the catchments accumulated through the river network characterize cumulative upstream conditions. The network-accumulated values are derived using two methods: 1) divergence routing...

The source data for average annual runoff (mm) from McCabe and Wolock's Runoff Model 1945-2015 was produced by McCabe and Wolock (USGS, 2017). Units are millimeters per year. Reach catchment information characterizes data at the local scale. Reach catchments accumulated upstream through...

This set of data includes four potential annual recharge grids for the State of Maine that were simulated using the Maine Soil-Water-Balance model for 1991 through 2015. The files include a grid representing the uncertainty in the potential recharge and a grid showing the annual average precipitation from the climate dataset that the simulation is based on. A 25-year simulation of potential recharge to groundwater from the Maine Soil-Water-Balance model for the years 1991 to 2015 produced annual results from which the four potential recharge grids were derived. The four are: 25-year mean, median, maximum, and minimum simulated annual potential. A data exclusion zone (see Scientific Investigations Report 2019-5125)...

The increasing availability of climate projections provides natural resource managers and scientists with a number of scenarios from which to estimate variability in hydrologic response to future climatic conditions. This presents a need for consistent and efficient conversion of climate data into model-ready format, archiving and indexing of model simulation results, and the visualization and summation of model simulation results. Furthermore, decision-makers need this information at specific locations and for specific periods of record to effectively manage their water resources. This final report summarizes a collaborative effort to help address these issues through the construction of the Monthly Water Balance...
