This dataset contains the well location, construction information, and water-level measurements for 983 wells measured during a groundwater-level synoptic of 10 confined aquifers of the New Jersey coastal plain. Groundwater-level measurements were made from October 2013 to January 2014. Well-location and water-level data are publicly available from the U.S. Geological Survey's National Water Information System (NWIS).
This dataset describes public-supply groundwater use by aquifer type within the glaciated conterminous United States between 2005 and 2014. All or part of 24 states within this glaciated region were included. The U.S. Safe Drinking Water Act defines a "public water system" as an entity that provides water for human consumption through pipes or other constructed conveyances to at least 15 service connections or serves an average of at least 25 people for at least 60 days out of the year (United States Environmental Protection Agency, 1998). Water may be used for several purposes such as for commercial, industrial, and residential use, or may be used only for one specific purpose such as for residential use.

Groundwater withdrawals are published by county and use type every 5 years by the U.S. Geological Survey (http://water.usgs.gov/watuse/) and published values often do not specify the aquifer(s) from which the withdrawals are derived. The items included in this dataset represent estimates of water use by aquifer in the southeastern United States in order to provide better insight into the 3-dimensional distribution of groundwater withdrawals in time and space.

The SARP Flow Alteration Assessment provides a regional characterization of the distribution and risk of flow regime impairment of streams and rivers by anthropogenic sources at the NHD+ segment scale. This map illustrates the cumulative risk of flow alteration (RFA) from surface water use industrial water use in Texas and Oklahoma.  Water use is based on state permits for surface water withdrawals and returns.  The risk is based on the volume of water used monthly in the drainage area relative to the monthly volume of flow.  Risk of Flow Alteration categories:  ZERO     - 0% mean monthly flow depletion,  LOW      - > 0-10%,  MEDIUM - > 10-20%,  HIGH      - >20-100%, and Â...

The SARP Flow Alteration Assessment provides a regional characterization of the distribution and risk of flow regime impairment of streams and rivers by anthropogenic sources at the NHD+ segment scale. This map illustrates the maximum monthly risk of flow alteration (RFA) from surface water use by water use sector for Texas and Oklahoma.  Water use is based on state permits for surface water withdrawals and returns.  The risk is based on the volume of water used monthly in the drainage area relative to the monthly volume of flow.  Risk of Flow Alteration categories:  ZERO     - 0% mean monthly flow depletion,  LOW      - > 0-10%,  MEDIUM - > 10-20%,  HIGH      - >20-100%, and...
