This data release includes laser ablation inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (LA-ICPMS) U-Pb zircon geochronology data from four samples collected from syn- and post-Columbia River Basalt Group strata. Samples were collected from within alluvial fan strata and gravel-mantled hillslopes. Sample 16MANC2-01 was collected from an excavation into rounded fluvial gravel deposits along the Manastash Ridge. The unit collected includes Cascadian derived volcanic clasts and is interpreted as an inset terrace of fluvial strata deposited on the Manastash Ridge. Sample 16MANC1-06 is a rhyodacitic boulder collected on a nearby exposure of gravel mantled hillslopes along Manastash Ridge. Sample 16MRF01 was collected...

This data release summarizes discrete suspended-sediment concentration (SSC) measurements and continuous estimates of SSC for the Yakima River at Kiona (USGS 12510500) for the period between June 01, 2018 and September 30, 2022. Continuous estimates of SSC were derived primarily through calibrated turbidity records. These data were collected to support a better understanding of how water quality influenced stream metabolism and water stargrass growth in the lower Yakima River.

Longitudinal profiles of near-streambed water temperature were measured at ambient river velocity using the method of Vacarro and Maloy (2006) within nine reaches of the Yakima River between Sunnyside Diversion Dam near Parker, WA and the confluence of the Yakima River with the Columbia River near Richland, WA. In eight reaches, near-streambed water temperature was measured along three profiles on the right, center, and left sides of the channel; in the other reach, water temperature was measured along two profiles on the right and left sides of the channel. Temperature and location data was collected and processed in accordance with Washington State Department of Ecology Quality Assurance Project Plan (QAPP) No....
