BLMPCA coverage is a product of the work of volunteer Jim Catlin, a graduate student from UC Berkeley. Catlin used the best sources available at the time (1994) to compile BLM CA administrative boundaries on to 100k base. Administrative boundaries for BLM in CA extend into a portion of NW Nevada. Difficulty was encountered in the Carson City area, where a small portion of CA is administratively under the contro of BLM NV. This boundary has since been addressed by the finding of additional documentary information.
