This data set presents attributes of floodplain ecosystem characteristics including floodplain soil denitrification, floodplain soil biogeochemistry, floodplain vegetation, floodplain sedimentation, floodplain and channel morphometry, stream discharge and water quality, floodplain climate, floodplain physiographic region, and catchment land cover. Attributes are associated with 18 floodplains of the Chesapeake Bay watershed. For many of these attributes, mean values are summaries of multiple measurements made within each floodplain site.

The data release consists of a single NetCDF file with results from a suite of ice sheet model simulations. We ran with Community Ice Sheet Model (CISM2) with input from models used in the Palaeoclimate Modelling Intercomparison 3 (PMIP3). The NetCDF file contains output from model year 50,000 for a limited number of variables to keep the file size reasonably small. This subset of variables are the ones we focus our analysis and paper on.

The data release consists of two companion air and water temperature datasets collected as part of the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Next Generation Water Observing System (NGWOS) program with data from both the Little Lehigh and White Clay Creek Watersheds in the Delaware River Basin. Data consists of 15-minute temperature data during the 7/2021 – 12/2022 study period for 21 air and 49 water locations (which include 6 continuous monitoring USGS streamgages) in the Little Lehigh Creek watershed and 8/2021 – 1/2023 for 28 air and 36 surface water locations (including 6 continuous monitoring USGS streamgages) in the White Clay Creek watershed. The Terrestrial Environmental Observation Network (TEON) is intended to meet the need for a sustainable environmental observing network for northern Alaska. The TEON plan proposes collection of a time series of specific environmental variables in seven representative watersheds across northern Alaska. This is the first of two datasets containing derived data necessary to reproduce the results of the associated journal article: "On the Sensitivity of Annual Streamflow to Air Temperature." This first dataset contains basic basin characteristics of 2,673 gaged basins worldwide, along with associated monthly time series of basin-mean precipitation, air temperature, and net radiation. This dataset includes spatial location information from 167 temperature data loggers that were installed throughout the Willow/Rock/Frazer watersheds of northern Nevada between July 30 and August 14, 2015. One hundred twelve data loggers were installed in stream channels (some of which were dry), 50 data loggers were installed outside the stream channel to measure air temperature, and 5 data loggers were installed on ridgetops to measure air temperature across the watershed.

These data are records collected from six automated weather stations in operation between January 1, 2014 and December 31, 2015 within the Colorado River Corridor of Grand Canyon National Park and Glen Canyon National Recreation Area. Data collection locations, equipment configurations and methods follow those of the original report (OFR 2014-1247). These files are 4-minute interval data for each of the automated weather stations, tab separated by parameter (wind direction, wind speed, wind gusts, air temperature, relative humidity, barometric pressure, and rainfall). Salt marshes are environmental ecosystems that contribute to coastal landscape resiliency to storms and rising sea level. Ninety percent of mid-Atlantic and New England salt marshes have been impacted by parallel grid ditching that began in the 1920s–40s to control mosquito populations and to provide employment opportunities during the Great Depression (James-Pirri and others, 2009; Kennish, 2001). Continued alteration of salt marsh hydrology has had unintended consequences for salt marsh sustainability and ecosystem services. These datasets include stream temperatures, air temperatures, and spatial location information from 167 temperature data loggers that were installed throughout the Willow/Rock/Frazer watersheds of northern Nevada between July 30 and August 14, 2015. One hundred twelve data loggers were installed in stream channels (some of which were dry), 50 data loggers were installed outside the stream channel to measure air temperature, and 5 data loggers were installed on ridgetops to measure air temperature across the watershed.
