These data were compiled as part of a long-term (1964 - 2022) water quality monitoring program at Lake Powell. Objectives of our study were to release a consistent record of long-term water quality data. The 58-year limnology dataset captures some water quality parameters (temperature, salinity, major ions, total suspended solids) from reservoir filling to present day. It also contains a 38-year record of secchi depth, and a ~30-year record of nutrients, phytoplankton, and zooplankton assemblages. The data were collected from various sites within the Lake Powell reservoir and the Glen Canyon dam. Regular monthly sampling occurred at three sites near the dam and reservoir-wide sampling was generally conducted quarterly,...

This U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Data Release provides spatial water-quality data collected from the St. Lucie and Caloosahatchee Rivers in October 2017, Lake Okeechobee and the Caloosahatchee River in July 2018 and the Caloosahatchee River, St. Lucie River and Lake Okeechobee in August of 2018, south Florida. Geo-referenced measurements of near surface water temperature, specific conductance, dissolved oxygen, pH, turbidity, chlorophyll fluorescence, phycocyanin fluorescence, and fluorescence of dissolved organic matter were recorded at 5 second intervals and nitrate+nitrite was recorded at 1 minute intervals during water-quality surveys in order to create high resolution water-quality maps of the study area.

NOTE: This data release has been deprecated. Updated version is available: Reed, A.P, 2021, Modeled Stream Metabolism in Boulder Creek near Boulder, CO (2016 - 2018): U.S. Geological Survey data release, https://doi.org/10.5066/P991TMNQ. The data presented here was collected in the lower basin of Boulder Creek at an elevation of 1562 meters and 40.05166667 latitude, -105.1783333 longitude. Seasonal and annual variations in discharge are dominated by snowmelt events and water management practices. The data includes date sample collected, discharge (cubic meter per second), stream depth (meters), dissolved oxygen concentration (milligrams per liter), theoretical dissolved oxygen concentration at 100% saturation...
