The man in the center is George Hungerford, foreman of the dam, who figured so prominently in many of the stories involving Hebgen Dam. The man on the right is Witkind, U.S. Geological Survey geologist. Dog is "Tawny", Witkind's dog. Hebgen Lake earthquake, Gallatin County, Montana. August 1959.
