These data represent simulated soil temperature and moisture conditions for current climate, and for future climate represented by all available climate models at two time periods during the 21st century. These data were used to: 1) quantify the direction and magnitude of expected changes in several measures of soil temperature and soil moisture, including the key variables used to distinguish the regimes used in the R and R categories; 2) assess how these changes will impact the geographic distribution of soil temperature and moisture regimes; and 3) explore the implications for using R and R categories for estimating future ecosystem resilience and resistance.
Data accompanying the manuscript 'Patterns and drivers of early conifer regeneration following stand-replacing wildfire in Pacific Northwest (USA) temperate maritime forests' by Laughlin, Rangel-Parra, Morris, Donato, Halofsky and Harvey published in Forest Ecology and Management. Data include field measurements of post-fire seedling abundance and additional information about the forest stands where data were collected. Biome-wide sagebrush core habitat and growth areas estimated from a threat-based conservation design
These data were compiled as a part of a landscape conservation design effort for the sagebrush biome, and are the result of applying a spatially explicit model that assessed geographic patterns in sagebrush ecological integrity and used these results to identify Core Sagebrush Areas (CSAs), Growth Opportunity Areas (GOAs), and Other Rangeland Areas (ORAs). These data were compiled to determine whether transient population dynamics substantially alter population growth rates of sagebrush after disturbance, impede resilience and restoration, and in turn drive ecosystem transformation. Data were collected from 2014-2016 on sagebrush population height distributions at 531 sites across the Great Basin that had burned and were subsequently reseeded by the BLM. These data include field data on sagebrush density in 6 size classes and site attributes (seeding year, sampling year, random site designation, elevation, seeding rate). This dataset is a compilation of completed, in progress, and planned restoration projects identified in the study area by the Deepwater Horizon (DWH) Project Tracker as of March 2022. The goal of compiling projects and information was to identify target resources and impacts of these projects in the study area. Projects were screened for action types, completion year, and resources intended to benefit from restoration in barrier island and shoreline systems. In addition, system components of structure and function were identified. The potential for geomorphological impacts was categorized among different types of projects.

Provided are data containing condition assessments on individual giant sequoia (Sequoiadendron giganteum; SEGI) stems and post-fire regeneration counts within Board Camp, Suwanee, New Oriole Lake, Homer’s Nose, and a subset of Redwood Mountain and Dillonwood groves of Sequoia and Kings Canyon national parks, respectively. Information was gathered to support a cumulative effects assessment of restoration in barrier island and shoreline systems of the north central Gulf of Mexico. Information includes: 1) results from two literature searches to help guide the development of a conceptual model of a barrier island and shoreline system and identify drivers and stressors important to that system, and 2) an accounting of restoration projects and descriptive information to document the distribution of Deepwater Horizon-funded restoration projects within the study area and guide the identification of potential effects on focal resources.

We conducted two literature searches to help guide the development of a conceptual model of a barrier island and shoreline system in response to cumulative effects of restoration projects. The first search targeted examples of cumulative effects assessments and/or existing conceptual models from which a system-specific conceptual model can be built. The second search targeted the identification of barrier island and shoreline environmental system components, drivers and stressors.
