The importance of monitoring shrublands to detect and understand changes through time is increasingly recognized as critical to management. This dataset focuses on ecological change observation over ten years of field observation at 134 plots within two sites that are located in Southwestern of Wyoming, USA from 2008-2018. At sites 1 and 3, 134 long-term field observation plots were measured annually from 2008 to 2018. General plot locations were selected in 2006 using segments and spectral clusters on QuickBird imagery to identify the best locations for representing the variability of the entire site (one QuickBird image). Ground measurements were conducted using ocular measurements with cover was estimated from...

These metadata describe ship navigation tracklines from a 2018 multibeam echosounder survey near Noyo Submarine Canyon and vicinity, southeast Alaska. Data were collected by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) aboard the NOAA survey vessel Fairweather and the data were post-processed by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), Pacific Coastal and Marine Science Center (PCMSC) for PCMSC research projects. The tracklines are provided as a GIS shapefile.

This section of the data release provides bathymetry data collected during 2017 and 2018 multibeam echosounder surveys of Noyes Submarine Canyon and vicinity, southeast Alaska. Data were collected by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) aboard the NOAA survey vessel Fairweather (NOAA survey D00208, Report for D00208 (noaa.gov) and NOAA survey D00245, Report for D00245 (noaa.gov)). Data provided in this data release were post-processed by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), Pacific Coastal and Marine Science Center (PCMSC) for scientific geohazard projects. The bathymetry data are provided as a GeoTIFF image.

In 2015 the U.S. Geological Survey, Pacific Coastal and Marine Science Center, in cooperation with the Alaska Department of Fish and Game (ADFG), collected bathymetry and acoustic-backscatter data near Cross Sound in southeast Alaska using a Reson 7111 multibeam echosounder mounded to the ADFG R/V Solstice. This section of the data release provides the acoustic-backscatter data as a GeoTIFF at 10-m spatial resolution. All files have accompanying FGDC metadata.

This dataset contains the physical collection information (e.g., sample location, date, gear type) and microsatellite DNA genotype of egg and larval Lake Sturgeon collected in the St. Clair and Detroit rivers in 2015 and 2016. Individuals were genotyped for 18 microsatellite loci (13 disomic and 5 polysomic). Alleles (base pair sizes) were recorded as presence absence scores (1:present, 2:absent, 0:missing data) for all previously observed alleles. Thus individual genotypes were recorded as pseudo diploid dominant phenotypes resulting in individual vectors of length n=205 for each genotyped egg or larval individual.

These data include a field study of the sediment hardness and fish egg density (walleye [Sander vitreus] and lake whitefish [Coregonus clupeaformis]) after sediment cleaning treatments (propulsion sled or hydro-jet sled) conducted at two reef locations in Saginaw Bay, Lake Huron, during 2018 and 2019. The data includes the year, species, reef, treatment type (jet, fan, control), number of eggs, and egg density in the treatment area. Relative sediment hardness for the treatment areas assessed before and after sediment cleaning experiments is provided. Additionally, walleye eggs were collected from Brookville Reservoir, Indiana, and incubated at the aquaculture research laboratory at Purdue University (West Lafayette,...

These data were compiled to assess the physical attributes of the Colorado River and its tributaries in Grand Canyon, including discharge, water temperature, Annual Thermal Units, and the potential future thermal regime of the river due to climate change. The objective of our study was to assess whether this river reach could support various life stages of Colorado pikeminnow (Ptychocheilus lucius). These data represent discharge and water temperature in the river segment between Glen Canyon Dam and the Lake Mead inflow, as well as data from Lake Powell that drive water temperatures in Grand Canyon. These data were collected in the Colorado River in Grand Canyon from 1/1/1950 to 9/8/2021. These data were collected...

Hydrodynamic and sediment transport time-series data, including water depth, velocity, turbidity, conductivity, and temperature, were collected by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Pacific Coastal and Marine Science Center at three locations in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta. Data were collected in Lindsey Slough in April 2017, and Middle River and the Mokelumne River in March 2018. Data files are grouped by location. At each of the three sites, data were collected at stations outside and within patches of vegetation, to determine how submerged invasive vegetation influences tidal currents and suspended-sediment concentration. The Table below shows the data types collected at each station, and classifies stations...
