Digital flood-inundation maps for a 3.4-mile reach of Fourmile Creek at Silver Grove, Kentucky (Ky.), were created by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) in cooperation with the City of Silver Grove and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Louisville District. Because the City of Silver Grove is subject to flooding from Fourmile Creek and the Ohio River (backwater flooding up Fourmile Creek), a set of flood-inundation maps was created for each flooding source independently and for combinations of possible flooding scenarios. The flood-inundation maps depict estimates of the areal extent and depth of flooding corresponding to a range of different gage heights (gage height is commonly referred to as “stage,” or the water-surface...

Digital flood-inundation maps were created by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) in cooperation with the Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District and the City of Rittman as part of a Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Flood Insurance Study (FIS). The flood-inundation maps show estimates of the areal extent corresponding to the 1% and 0.2% annual-exceedance probability floods. Flood profiles were computed for each stream reach by means of a one-dimensional step-backwater model.

Digital flood-inundation maps for selected streams in Stark County were created by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) in cooperation with the Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District and the Stark County Commissioners as part of a Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Flood Insurance Study (FIS). The flood-inundation maps show estimates of the areal extent corresponding to the 1% and 0.2% annual-exceedance probability floods. Flood profiles were computed for the stream reach by means of the one-dimensional step-backwater model.

Digital flood-inundation maps for an 18.6-mile (mi) reach of the Clear Fork Mohican River (that extends approximately from 100 feet upstream from Gass Road near Lexington, Ohio to 700 feet downstream from Benedict Road in Butler , Ohio) and for a 5.9-mile (mi) reach of Cedar Fork (that extends from its confluence with Clear Fork Mohican River to Wirick Road/Richland County Line) were created by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) in cooperation with the Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District as part of a Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Flood Insurance Study (FIS). The flood-inundation maps show estimates of the areal extent corresponding to the 1% and 0.2% annual-exceedance probability floods. Flood profiles...

Hydrologic and hydraulic analyses were done for selected reaches of the Grand River, Red Cedar River and Sycamore Creek near Lansing, Michigan. To update and expand a portion of the Federal Emergency Management Agency detailed Flood Insurance Study, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) and the City of Lansing initiated a cooperative study. The study comprised a 3.2-mile reach of the Grand River, a 30.2-mile reach of the Red Cedar River, and a 12.0-mile reach of Sycamore Creek. Historical streamflow data from multiple streamgages, Grand River at Lansing, MI. (USGS station number 04113000), Red Cedar River at East Lansing, MI. (USGS station number 04112500), Red Cedar River near Williamston, MI. (USGS station number...
