This data release documents the digital data used to produce flood-inundation maps for a range of gage heights (stages) for the Sabinal River near Utopia, Tex. The simulated flood-inundation maps correspond to a range in stage from 11 to 28 feet (ft) at U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) streamgage 08197970 Sabinal River at Utopia, Tex. at intervals of 0.5-ft. The maps were created for a 10-mile reach of the Sabinal River extending from USGS streamgage 08197936 Sabinal River below Mill Creek near Vanderpool, Tex. to USGS streamgage 08197970 Sabinal River at Utopia, Tex. (hereinafter referred to as the “Utopia gage”) and 7-mile reach of the West Sabinal River were created by the USGS in cooperation with the Bandera County...

This feature class represents inundated area for the Coast Fork of the Willamette River, the Row River and Silk Creek (west of Cottage Grove, OR) for eight different flows at the gage Willamette River at Goshen, OR (USGS 14157500). The flows are 12,000; 15,000; 21,450; 27,900; 33,900; 39,900; 46,800 and 62,300 cubic feet per second (cfs). These flows correspond to gage heights of 11.8, 13.2, 15.1, 16.3, 17.2, 17.9, 18.6 and 19.8 feet, respectively. The domain of the model is as follows: Row River from Dorena dam to the confluence with the Coast Fork; Coast Fork from Cottage Grove dam to the confluence with the Middle Fork; Silk Creek from River Mile 1.7 to the confluence with the Coast Fork. The basis for these...

The development and the generation of the datasets that are published through this data release, were based on the results and findings of the report mentioned here: Kim, M.H., 2018, Flood-inundation maps for the Wabash River at Lafayette, Indiana: U.S. Geological Survey Scientific Investigations Report 2018–5017, 10 p., https://doi.org/10.3133/sir20185017. The geospatial dataset contain final versions of the raster and vector geospatial data and its related metadata, and the model archive dataset contains all relevant files to document and re-run the surface-water (SW) hydraulic model that are discussed in the report.

The domain of the model is as follows: Row River from Dorena dam to the confluence with the Coast Fork; Coast Fork from Cottage Grove dam to the confluence with the Middle Fork; Silk Creek from River Mile 1.7 to the confluence with the Coast Fork. The basis for these features is the Willamette Flood Insurance Study – Phase One (2013). The hydraulics and hydrology for the FIS were reused in the production of these polygons; the reports and information associated with the FIS are applicable to this product. The Digital Elevation Model (DEM) utilized for the Willamette FIS submittal was produced by combining multiple overlapping topographic surveys for the Middle Fork and Coast Fork of the Willamette River. This DEM...

This point shapefile represents ground observations collected by terrestrial laser scanner (TLS) surveys in Grapevine Canyon near Scotty's Castle, Death Valley National Park, from July 12-14, 2016, and filtered of extraneous data from features such as vegetation, fences, power lines, and atmospheric interference using an iterative process in I-Site Studio. The resulting 122,104 points were used to produce a digital terrain model of the area (GrapevineCanyon_TIN.zip in this data release).
