Climate change, specifically the increasing rate of change, has seen a paradigm shift in its surrounding discourse, settling in recent years on anthropogenic stimuli. These stimuli, however highly debated their effects may be, have been potentially changing the Earth’s climate since the Industrial Revolution. California State Parks manages a diverse coastline, all of which is susceptible to sea-level rise and storm surge levels as a result of drastic climatic changes. The purpose of this investigation is to take the most up-to-date climate change data and apply it at the local scale in an attempt to understand the vulnerability of coastal archaeology at Tolowa Dunes.
