This dataset contains 10-foot contours of the 2013 Upper Potomac-Raritan-Magothy aquifer potentiometric surface in the Coastal Plain of New Jersey. The potentiometric-surface contours show altitudes at which water levels would have risen in tightly-cased wells and represent conditions in October 2013 through January 2014. Groundwater-level data from 230 wells cased in, and with the screened interval open to the Upper Potomac-Raritan-Magothy aquifer, were used to construct the potentiometric surface and are publicly available from the U.S. Geological Survey's National Water Information System.

This Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) GeoPackage (.gpkg) contains water-well point features and associated tables for the state of Oklahoma that have been reformatted based on a USGS profile of the OGC GroundWaterML2 (GWML2) standard (https://docs.ogc.org/is/19-013/19-013.html). The water-well records provided in this data set have not received additional processing or interpretation by the USGS beyond the GWML2 standardization. The National Water-Well Database (NWWDB) is a compilation of water-well records from state-managed databases that have been standardized to a common format for consistency across state and administrative boundaries. Water-well completion reports that are submitted to permitting state agencies...

Additionally, the water-well records have been quality-assured to remove or nullify parts of water-well records found to be erroneous or logically inconsistent, harmonized via the assignment of common data codes in the lithologic log, and supplemented with estimates of transmissivity from the analysis of specific-capacity data. Hereafter "spring" is defined as the periods of January 1 to May 31, and December 1 to December 31. All interpolation and geoprocessing was done using ArcGIS Desktop v10 (Environmental Systems Research Institute, 2011).

This dataset is the result of measurements of groundwater levels in the Equus Beds aquifer near Wichita, Kansas, in January 2016. Potentiometric surfaces are interpolated for the shallow and deep parts of the aquifer, and rasters of the potentiometric surfaces are included in this data release. Wells were classified as being screened in the shallow or deep parts of the aquifer based on station name (some wells have a layer identifier in the station name) or, if no indication of aquifer layer was given in the station name, based on the depth of the well; wells with depths less than 80 feet below land surface were classified as shallow and wells with depths of 80 feet or deeper were classified as deep. Contours with...
Five hydrologic and landscape databases were developed by the U.S. Geological Survey, in cooperation with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, for select National Wildlife Refuges (NWRs) in southeastern United States: (1) the Cahaba River NWR and contributing watersheds in Alabama, (2) the Caloosahatchee and J.N. "Ding" Darling NWRs and contributing watersheds in Florida, (3) the Clarks River NWR and contributing watersheds in Kentucky, Tennessee, and Mississippi, (4) the Lower Suwannee NWR and contributing watersheds in Georgia and Florida, and (5) the Okefenokee NWR and contributing watersheds in Georgia and Florida. The databases were developed as an assessment and evaluation tool to use in examining refuge-specific...

The data include atmospheric-loading frequency response functions (table 1) and filtered detrended and reconstructed (trends restored) groundwater levels (tables 2–4) computed for selected, parsed time series for three USGS monitoring wells [BR–1 (USGS site 410233104093203); LN–1 (USGS site 410233104093202); and FH–1 (USGS site 410233104093201)], and the associated hourly resampled water-level and barometric-pressure time-series "pieces" (tables 2–4) used to create the parsed series. Table headings are defined in the Data Dictionary. Digital filters were developed based on the computed water-level response to Earth tides and barometric pressure in all three wells, and these filters were used to compute the filtered...

This data release consists of four directories: GroundwaterWithdrawals, Precipitation, WaterLevelDatabase, and WLMs. The GroundwaterWithdrawals directory contains a Microsoft Excel workbook with groundwater withdrawal data from 1996-2015 for water-supply wells in Beatty and Bullfrog Hills, Nye County, Nevada. The Precipitation directory contains four Microsoft Excel workbooks with data from precipitation stations and analyses used to construct long-term precipitation index records. The WaterLevelDatabase directory contains a Microsoft Excel workbook with hydrographs and well information for the 79 wells analyzed in the larger work. The WLMs directory contains 11 water-level models that were used to determine hydrologic...

This data release contains depth-to-groundwater, water withdrawal, and analyses associated with multiple aquifer tests conducted between March 2017 and April 2018 in Lovelock, NV. Seven slug tests, one single-well pumping test, and two multi-well pumping tests were conducted to evaluate properties of the Lahontan clays and silts, fluvial deposits, and coarser, water-bearing deposits of the Younger Alluvium. Data and analyses are presented in folders named according to type of test and aquifer analyzed, as described in the larger work.

This U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) data release represents the Oklahoma component of the National Water-Well Database (NWWDB). The NWWDB is a compilation of water-well records from state-managed databases that have been standardized to a common format for consistency across state and administrative boundaries. Water-well completion reports that are submitted to permitting state agencies by licensed drillers constitute a large source of hydrogeologic information, including the locations and distribution of water wells, construction materials and completion depths, lithologic logs, groundwater levels, and the results of pumping or aquifer tests. Standardization was performed based on a USGS profile of the Open Geospatial...

These datasets provide the locations of and groundwater-level altitudes from 273 wells that were used to construct a 2015 potentiometric contour surface of the Sparta-Memphis aquifer. Measurements were made from January through June 2015 and represent synoptic conditions. All wells were cased completely in and screened in the Sparta-Memphis aquifer. Groundwater-level data are also available from the USGS National Water Information System (U.S. Geological Survey, 2017). The groundwater-level change maps for the Sparta-Memphis aquifer are constructed as a point-to-point comparison with wells measured in both 2011 and 2013 and both 2013 and 2015. Wells not measured in both 2011 and 2013 and both 2013 and 2015 were...

Hot Creek Gorge contains the most obvious surface expression of the hydrothermal system in Long Valley Caldera, California, discharging 200-300 L/s of thermal water according to USGS measurements made since 1988. Formerly, Hot Creek was a popular public swimming area, but it was closed in 2006 due to unpredictable temperature fluctuations and sporadic geysering of thermal water within the creek (Evans et al., 2018). The USGS has monitored the thermal regime in the area since the mid-1980s, including a series of long-term studies 0.6 km away at well CH-10b. Temperature measurements in the ~100 m deep well, which have been performed on an intermittent basis since it was drilled in 1983, reveal a complex temperature...
