Note: this data release is currently being revised and is temporarily unavailable. This data release contains monthly and annual water-use estimates from the aquaculture and irrigation water-use model (AIWUM) version 1.1 for the Mississippi Alluvial Plain, April 1999 to October 2019. Aquaculture and irrigation estimates contained in this data release are representative of groundwater withdrawal for six different categories: aquaculture, cotton, corn, rice, soybeans, and all other crops. Contained in this data release are monthly and annual estimates by water-use category and monthly and annual total estimates. Monthly and annual totals are a summation of water use for aquaculture, cotton, corn, rice, soybeans,...
This dataset contains the irrigated lands mapped for the Powder/Tongue River Basin Plan. All man induced irrigation or subirrigation was delineated. Natural subirrigated fields were not delineated unless some benefit was being received from a man made system. Irrigated lands were divided into the following categories based on visual interpretations of the quality of the irrigation, types of crops supported, and the type and condition of the irrigation delivery systems and on-farm systems used to serve these lands: A - Full service irrigation (typically receives a full water supply); B - Partial service irrigation (typically receives a reduced water supply due to limited water availability or the inability to provide...

This data release contains model code and input data for, and predictions from, both a dynamic stream dissolved solids and a static baseflow dissolved solids SPARROW (SPAtially Referenced Regression On Watershed attributes) model of the Upper Colorado River Basin for water years 1986-2017. Input data includes information on dissolved solids sources, landscape transport characteristics, and dissolved solids load calibration data from water quality monitoring stations. Model output includes predictions for every reach of total and incremental predicted loads and total and incremental loads from each source. Further details on model development and results are described in Miller and others, 2023.

These data are comprised of tables containing the total number of irrigated acres estimated from AIWUM version 1.0 within the Mississippi Delta as defined by Ladd and Travers (2019) and the average withdrawal rates used as input to AIWUM version 1.0 for 6 different categories: aquaculture, cotton, corn, rice, soybeans, and all other crops. Units for the irrigated acres and average withdrawal rates are acres and acre-feet per acre (or feet), respectively.

This dataset contains a zipped file of 19 shapefiles that present the lands permitted to withdraw groundwater for aquaculture and irrigation use from the Mississippi River Valley Alluvial Aquifer in the Mississippi Delta each year from 1999 through 2017. The polygons in this dataset were provided by the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality.
