Projected changes in shrub tundra by ecological sub-region. Projected active layer thickness and depth of seasonal thaw. Darker brown colors indicate deeper active layer depths (m). Thermokarst predisposition based on topography and soil ice content. Lows 10% and below, Highs 95% and above. Current distribution of the coastal plain moist tundra CE in the North Slope study area. Length of growing season (LOGS) for current and long-term future and change in LOGS clipped to the coastal plain moist tundra and wetlands CE distributions in the North Slope study area. Landscape condition modeled for current condition and two development scenarios, medium and high, clipped to the distribution of coastal plain moist tundra...
Current distribution of the foothills tussock tundra CE. Length of growing season for current and long term future and change in LOGS clipped to the foothills tussock tundra distribution. Projected relative flammability. Landscape condition modeled for current condition and two development scenarios, medium and high, clipped to the distribution of foothills tussock tundra. Current distribution of the alpine dwarf shrub tundra CE. Length of growing season for current and long term future and change in LOGS clipped to the alpine dwarf shrub tundra distribution. Landscape condition modeled for current condition and two development scenarios, medium and high, clipped to the distribution of alpine dwarf shrub tundra....
Current distribution of the sand sheet moist tundra CE. Length of growing season for current and long term future and change in LOGS clipped to the sand sheet moist tundra and wetlands CE distributions. Landscape condition modeled for current condition and two development scenarios, medium and high, clipped to the distribution of sand sheet moist tundra. Data described herein was collected by USGS personnel and the project funded by USGS and the National Park Service (Catoctin Mountain Park) through a FY14 NRPP project involving both agencies and developed to detect the presence and prevalence of ranavirus and chytrid pathogens among amphibians of Catoctin Mountain Park (CATO). Supplemental molecular analyses were performed on behalf of LSC by the molecular biology laboratory at Hagerstown Community College whereby students performed the molecular diagnostic testing and provided the raw data to LSC for analysis. There is no data sharing agreement specifying ownership, but the data was presented to the NPS CATO staff to help guide their management decision-making...
Data described herein was collected by USGS personnel and the project funded by USGS. Northern snakehead specimens were collected from the Potomac River and its tributaries by regional natural resource management agencies in the course of their field investigations working with this priority invasive aquatic species. Specimens were provided to USGS for the purpose of conducting health related assessments of northern snakehead in the region, with approximately 90 specimens evaluated grossly and histologically for the presence of lesions and abnormalities. Data presented here was collected seasonally (spring through fall) in 2006 and from 2015 to 2017. Data for each specimen includes date and location of collection,...
