Four regional land cover datasets, of varying spatial and classification resolution, were used as the source data for the AKNHP land cover mosaic. These data are provided by Bureau of Land Management (BLM) "as is" and may contain errors or omissions. The User assumes the entire risk associated with its use of these data and bears all responsibility in determining whether these data are fit for the User's intended use. These data may not have the accuracy, resolution, completeness, timeliness, or other characteristics appropriate for applications that potential users of the data may contemplate. The User is encouraged to carefully consider the content of the metadata file associated with these data. The BLM should...

This dataset consists of raster images produced by the University of New Orleans for and funded by the Louisiana Department of Natural Resources Office of Coastal Restoration and Managegment (LDNR/OCRM Contract No. 2512-06-06). The original raster dataset was clipped to the updated boundary of the BA-38 CWPPRA project (Pelican Island and Pass La Mer to Chaland Pass) for Chaland Island. These raster datasets are a component of the deliverables necessary to fullfill requirements for the University of New Orleans under the scope of services specified in the Statewide Barrier Island Comprehensive Monitoring (BICM) Program. The raster data provides LDNR/OCRM with short term and near term habitat configurations for five...

The Louisiana State Legislature created Coastal Wetlands Planning, Protection, and Restoration Act (CWPPRA) in order to conserve, restore, create and enhance Louisiana's coastal wetlands. The wetland restoration plans developed persuant to these acts specifically require an evaluation of the effectiveness of each coastal wetlands restoration project in achieving long-term solutions to arresting coastal wetlands loss. This data set includes mosaicked aerial photographs for the Channel Armor Gap Crevasse (MR-06) project for 2016. This data set is used as a basemap land/water classification. It also serves as a visual tool for project managers to help them identify any obvious problems or land loss within their project...

The U.S. Geological Survey's Upper Midwest Environmental Sciences Center (UMESC) collects aerial photography of the Upper Mississippi River System (UMRS) floodplain on a regular basis. These data are used to support the Center's long-term goals of understanding the UMRS and developing useful products for the Long Term Resource Monitoring Program (LTRMP). In 2000, 1:16,000-scale true color aerial photos were collected on the Mississippi River from Cairo, IL to Minneapolis, MN and the on Illinois River from its confluence with the Mississippi near Grafton, IL to Lake Michigan/Chicago, IL. The photos were collected using a 60% stereo overlap between photos in the same flight line and a 30% overlap between flight lines....

The Landcover Mosaic map (LCM) can be used to answer the question: What is the mixture of agricultural/urban/natural landcover types surrounding a given land parcel?Researchers at the U.S. Forest Service Southern Research Station have utilized the National Land Cover Database (NLCD) to calculate a suite of land cover and forest fragmentation metrics at landscape scales. These datasets yield rich spatial information about urbanization, its effects on forests, and how urban areas interface and mix with rural, agricultural, and forest landscapes. The Landcover Mosaic Map (Landscape Mosaic Pattern) illustrates the mixture of agricultural, developed, and semi-natural land cover types within 15-hectare neighborhoods (about...
