This data release contains two tabular data sets of water-quality data collected on the East Fork Carson River. EFCR_CQW.xlsx is a Microsoft Excel workbook containing continuous water-quality data collected by the Nevada Division of Environmental Protection (NDEP) at a site on the East Fork Carson River over two time periods in 2010 and 2012. Data were collected at U.S. Geological Survey site number 385755119473704, East Fork Carson River near Muller Lane downstream transect, also referred to as "SDT" in the larger work. Stream temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, and specific conductance were measured at 5 to 10 minute intervals from August 3-September 29, 2010 and from July 20-August 17, 2012. Streamflow and phosphorus concentrations were monitored in the Assabet River in central Massachusetts in order to evaluate concentrations and loads in the river before, during, and after changes in the amount of total phosphorus that was discharged to the river from three wastewater-treatment plants. At four locations the U.S. Geological Survey collected weekly flow-proportional, composite samples of water from the Assabet River for analysis of concentrations of total phosphorus and orthophosphate. Streamflow and concentration data were used to estimate total phosphorus and orthophosphate loads in the river and compare them with total phosphorus load outputs from three wastewater-treatment plants. Data were collected...
This data release includes estimates of annual and monthly mean concentrations and fluxes for nitrate plus nitrite, orthophosphate and suspended sediment for nine sites in the Mississippi River Basin (MRB) produced using the Weighted Regressions on Time, Discharge, and Season (WRTDS) model (Hirsch and De Cicco, 2015). It also includes a model archive (R scripts and readMe file) used to retrieve and format the model input data and run the model. Input data, including discrete concentrations and daily mean streamflow, were retrieved from the National Water Quality Network (https://doi.org/10.5066/P9AEWTB9). Annual and monthly estimates range from water year 1975 through water year 2019 (i.e. October 1, 1974 through...

This data release contains simulated orthophosphate concentrations (milligrams per liter) as a function of year, season, and flow for 53 monitoring stations in the Chesapeake Bay watershed. These data were generated for a study published in Science of the Total Environment. They were extracted from the Weighted Regressions in Time, Discharge and Season (WRTDS; Hirsch et al. 2010) models developed for each monitoring station using two functions in the EGRET R package: the flowDuration function and the plotConcTimeSmooth function. The flowDuration function in the EGRET package (Hirsch and DeCicco, 2015) was used to quantify the 5th and 95th percentile flows to represent low and high flows, respectively, for each season...
