This dataset provides cost estimates for 668 dam removal projects occurring in the United States. Cost estimates were obtained by searching the internet for sources of information that mention the cost of dam removal projects listed in the USGS Dam Removal Information Portal. When cost data were not available for a dam removal but contact information was, then personal communications were used to acquire additional cost information. The accuracy of estimates is not known but we assume that most estimates represent close to the total cost or the minimum financial cost, with overestimates being rare. This Sediment Analysis dataset, a conceptual subgroup of the Lake Erie Ecological Investigations (LEEI) dataset, focuses on the sediments sampled at Areas of Concern (AOCs) on Lake Erie. Per the Quality Assurance Project Plan (QAPP), sediment collections were a composite of at least five randomly selected samples collected from each site. This data set consists of counts and lengths of fish collected as part of a 2015-2016 evaluation of shoreline remediation projects in the St. Clair River, Michigan, USA. Remediation sites were sites that had undergone shoreline softening to convert vertical seawalls to sloping banks, reduce water depths, create a gradual transition between shoreline to main channel habitats, and provide structure (e.g., root wads and boulders) for fishes and other aquatic biota. This assessment raster is used to answer management questions (MQs) about where the Sage Grouse conservation element (CE) overlap with change agents (CAs). This is a basic footprint assessment of anthropogenic features (urban development, roads, etc) and invasive annual grasses intersecting with Sage Grouse habitat.
