This dataset includes georeferenced, high-resolution, airborne thermal infrared (TIR) and high-resolution true-color imagery, a polyline shapefile of the channel centerline, a polyline shapefile with TIR sample points for longitudinal stream temperature profiles, and a tabular file with longitudinal stream temperature profiles for the Donner und Blitzen River and its tributaries, Oregon. The aerial TIR surveys were conducted with a helicopter by NV5 Geospatial and are published as 17 raster mosaics in GeoTiff format with a resolution of 0.3 meters (m). The TIR mosaics contain corrected surface temperatures in degrees Celsius (C) (multiplied by 10 to create an unsigned integer pixel type). The longitudinal stream...

This dataset includes georeferenced high-resolution, airborne thermal infrared (TIR) imagery, a polyline shapefile of the channel centerline, and a tabular file with longitudinal stream temperature profiles for Hat Creek, California. The two aerial TIR surveys were conducted with a helicopter by NV5 Geospatial (formerly Quantum Spatial, Inc.) and are published as two raster mosaics in GeoTiff format with a resolution of 0.5 m. The TIR mosaics and longitudinal stream temperature profiles contain corrected surface temperatures in degrees C (multiplied by 10 to create an unsigned integer pixel type). The TIR dataset encompasses a 64.6-km reach of Hat Creek that extends from 50 m upstream of the confluence with Lost...

This data release contains self-potential (SP), electrical resistivity tomography (ERT), and water temperature and conductivity data measured during a geophysical survey at the Krause Springs property in Spicewood, Texas. The geophysical survey was completed February 4–15, 2019, over approximately 3.1 acres on the western side of the property adjacent to the main visitor parking lot and entrance facilities. SP data were measured on the land surface within the survey area to locate SP anomalies attributed to groundwater flow. The locations and spatial distribution of the discovered SP anomalies were used to orient four ERT profiles to intersect the SP anomalies. Two ERT profiles, consisting of 84 stainless steel...

Dye tracing investigations were conducted in Cades Cove and Tuckaleechee Cove, two carbonate fensters in the western Great Smoky Mountains. These investigations were conducted as part of a two-year study examining the karst hydrology in the carbonate fensters. Main objectives of the dye tracing investigations were to determine resurgences for cave systems, delineate recharge areas for major springs, and to compare travel times from sink (dye injection point) to resurgence (monitoring site) for the two coves. Over the two-year study period (2017-2018), four different rounds of dye injections were completed, and each round had four dye injection locations, with the exception of the fourth round in September 2018,...

Ciénegas, as defined here, are wetlands in arid and semi-arid regions associated with groundwater or lotic components that ideally result in perennial waters on temporal scales of decades to centuries. Ciénegas are typically no lower than 0 m, and higher than 2000 m, rarely lower but sometimes higher elevation localities occur. Ciénegas are typified by significant differences in flora and fauna relative to the greater terrestrial conditions in the region in which it is located. Ciénegas are freshwater to brackish North American wetlands associated with fluvial systems of arid/semi-arid areas of the southwestern U.S. and northwestern Mexico. Once extensively utilized by the region's indigenous human cultures, early...
