The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), in cooperation with the Kootenai Tribe of Idaho, used streamflow measurements at 14 partial-record sites and related them to nearby USGS real-time streamgages (index sites) to provide daily mean streamflow values at ungaged (partial-record) sites. Daily mean streamflow was estimated by developing a regression relationship between streamflow at each partial-record site and the index site for the period of record of the index site. The daily mean streamflow at partial-record sites will support the Kootenai Tribe of Idaho effort to understand fish and wildlife habitat in the watershed and provide streamflow estimates for Kootenai River tributaries for use in hydraulic modeling that...

This data release is currently being revised and is temporarily unavailable. Digital datasets were used to develop basin characteristics whose values are used in multiple regression equations and tested for the use in predicting flow-duration curves (FDCs) in ungaged areas of Illinois and Indiana. Several basin characteristics are easily derived from StreamStats (https://streamstats.usgs.gov/ss/) basin delineations themselves, such as basin area and basin centroid. Other basin characteristics require ancillary datasets as input. The data provided through this data release are those data that have been collected, tested, and ultimately selected as a basis for FDC development. These include Soil Components (Available...

Environmental DNA quantitative PCR results for water samples collected in 2018 at USGS streamgages downstream of Columbia River Basin reservoirs that are considered to have moderate to high suitability for invasive dreissenid mussels. Water samples were tested for DNA of dreissenid mussels, kokanee salmon, and yellow perch. This is version 1.1 of this data release. The Kokanee_Perch_eDNA data and metadata files have been revised to correct for improper attribution of 16 samples.
