The U.S. Geological Survey collected topographic data in cooperation with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to assist in the management of two recreation areas at Blue Mountain Lake and near Nimrod Lake in Arkansas. Data were collected March 3-4, 2020 using terrestrial light detection and ranging (T-lidar) surveying equipment, Global navigation Satellite System (GNSS) surveying equipment, and conventional surveying techniques. The surveyed locations had a parking area, boat ramp, and some small recreational structures. Each site was surveyed using a FARO 3D tripod-mounted T-lidar unit. These spreadsheets contain topographic cross section information including: the raw data collected from total station surveys (including point ID, X, Y, and Z coordinates), and post-processed distance and elevation data with a graph of each cross section. Each sheet contains tabs labeled 'A' for Anderson Creek, 'B' for Boulder Creek, 'C' for Canyon Creek, and 'J' for Jack Creek. In each case, the number corresponds to the reach number (1-4). These data provide a comprehensive survey of peak-stage indicators along the Colorado River corridor between river mile (RM) 0 and RM 87 (see Figure 1 in the associated USGS-SIR). In 2008, the locations of peak-stage indicators in three short reaches downstream from RM 87 were measured using a handheld GPS unit (see Appendix 1 in the associated USGS-SIR). Total-station measurements were made using an established network of survey control that references the 2011 realization of NAD83 (NAD83 (2011)) (Kaplinski and others, 2017).
