These data represent stem growth from whitebark pine at 27 sites in the Sierra Nevada of California. Values for stem growth were derived from increment cores, processed following standard methods. Samples were also compared against a genomic data collected at the same trees. These data support the following publication: van Mantgem, P.J., Milano, E.R., Dudney, J., Nesmith, J.C.B, Vandergast, A.G., and Zald, H.S.J., 2023. Growth, drought response, and climate-associated genomic structure in whitebark pine in the Sierra Nevada of California. Ecology and Evolution. https://doi.org/10.1002/ece3.10072.

These data were compiled for evaluating plant water use, or river-reach level evapotranspiration (ET) data, in the unrestored riparian corridor of the Colorado River delta as specified under Minute 319 of the 1944 Water Treaty. Additionally, these data were compiled for evaluating restoration-level data in Reach 2 and Reach 4, as specified under Minute 323 of the 1944 Water Treaty. Objectives of our study were to measure the peak growing season evapotranspiration (ET) for the average of months in summer-fall (May to October) for the seven reaches, for the full riparian corridor, and for four restoration sites, from 2019 through 2022. The seven reach areas from the Northerly International Boundary (NIB) to the end...

Spatial surveys of water column currents and surface winds were conducted from February 17 to 20, 2015, off the north coast of the island of Tutuila, American Samoa. These data were collected using an acoustic-doppler current profiler (ADCP) and a meterological sensor in support of a study on the coastal circulation patterns within and in the vicinity of the National Park of American Samoa.

This dataset contains absolute-gravity measurements made using an A-10 absolute gravity meter (Micro-g Lacoste, Inc.) between 2009 and 2017 in the Big Chino Subbasin, Yavapai County, Arizona. Measurements were made about 3 times per year at a total of 33 different stations. Data are presented in tabular form, including relevant parameters used for processing. Data were output by g software (Micro-g Lacoste, Inc.) version 9.12.04.23. A correction for laser-frequency drift was applied, based on regular calibration of the HeNe laser used in the A-10 against an iodine-stabilized laser. A second soil-moisture correction was applied based on satellite soil-moisture measurements, an infiltration model, and the elevation...

This dataset contains absolute-gravity measurements made using an A-10 absolute gravity meter (Micro-g Lacoste, Inc.) in 2008, 2009, 2017, 2018, and 2019 in the Hualapai Valley, Mohave County, Arizona. Measurements were made at 9 different stations. Data are presented in tabular form, including relevant parameters used for processing. Data were output by g software (Micro-g Lacoste, Inc.) version 9.12.04.23. A correction for laser-frequency drift was applied to data collected in 2009 and 2017 to account for changes in laser wavelength during these periods. The correction is based on linear interpolation in time between regular calibrations of the HeNe laser used in the A-10 against an iodine-stabilized laser. ...

This dataset presents elevation measurements of two dams on the Elwha River, Washington, during their removal processes from 2008 to 2013. Elevation measurements of the Elwha Dam were taken from October 2008 to March 2012. Elevation measurements of the Glines Canyon dam, which was further upstream than the Elwha Dam, were taken from October 2010 to October 2013. The measurements were taken by the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation as part of a study investigating the river channel's morphological responses to dam removal.

These raster and tabular data were compiled to develop time series data of the lower Colorado River (LCR) vegetation greenness, water use, and phenology since the year 2000. An objective of our study was to evaluate short and long-term effects of drought and biocontrol on LCR riparian and aquatic ecosystems south of Hoover Dam. These data represent spatially explicit average Enhanced Vegetation Index (EVI2) derived evapotranspiration (ET) difference, and scaled normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI*) difference maps between two decades (2000 to 2010 and 2011 to 2020) and two 5 year periods (2000 to 2005 and 2016 to 2020). The time-series period statistics data provide estimates of the riparian woodland area...

Oil and gas (OG) wastewaters are commonly disposed of by underground injection and previous research showed that activities at a disposal facility in West Virginia affected stream biogeochemistry and sediment microbial communities downstream from the facility. Microorganisms can control the fate and transport of organic and inorganic components of OG wastewater highlighting the need to characterize the effects of OG wastewater components on microbial activity. We conducted a series of aerobic microcosm experiments to assess the influence of high total dissolved solids (TDS) and hydraulic fracturing fluid additives (2,2-dibromo-3-nitrilopropionamide (DBNPA), a biocide, and ethylene glycol, an anti-scaling additive),...

This dataset supercedes an earlier data release and includes all previous data in addition to data from 2019. These data represent the network-adjusted results of relative- and absolute-gravity surveys. Relative-gravity surveys were carried out using a Micro-g LaCoste D-series relative-gravity meter. The effect of solid Earth tides and ocean loading were removed from the data. Instrument drift was removed by evaluating gravity change during repeated measurements at one or more base stations. Absolute-gravity surveys were carried out using a Micro-g LaCoste, Inc. A-10 absolute-gravity meter. Vertical gradients between the different measuring heights of the absolute- and relative-gravity meters were measured using...

Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife is a project within the AMMonitor community, which features projects that monitor wildlife and ecosystems with remotely deployed monitoring devices. Devices that capture media typically include trail cameras (photos, video) and/or autonomous recording units (audio). As with all AMMonitor projects, Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife utilizes an AMMonitor SQLite database to track wildlife monitoring data in a standardized format, permitting cross-project collaboration. The monitoring data are released to the public in "volumes". Releases include the raw media files and their metadata, including the date, time, and location of media capture. Additional...

This volume's release consists of 26 media files captured by autonomous wildlife monitoring devices under the project, MiddleEarth Wildlife Study. The attached files listed below include several CSV files that provide information about the data release. The file, "media.csv" provides the metadata about the media, such as filename and date/time of capture. The actual media files are housed within folders under the volume's "child items" as compressed files. A critical CSV file is "dictionary.csv", which describes each CSV file, including field names, data types, descriptions, and the relationship of each field to fields other CSV files. Some of the media files may have been "tagged" or "annotated" by either humans...

This child page contains qualitative multi-element compositional data from scanning electron microscopy-energy dispersive spectrometry. The data are in the form of element maps and normalized compositional data from spots or areas. These qualitative data are accompanied by backscattered electron images and, in some cases, corresponding optical images. Quantitative measurement of features in a subset of the optical images is also presented. Data collected after July 22, 2019 are subject to secondary data review as required by the Energy and Minerals Mission Area Quality Management System (EMMA QMS). As this process is not yet complete, data collected after July 22, 2019 must be considered preliminary or provisional...
