This data represents grazing allotment boundaries managed by the BLM. Allotments are permitted use areas for public grazing of cattle, sheep and horses. Allotments can be a mixture of different surface ownerships, for example a BLM allotment can encompass privately owned land or state land Allotments can also be leased to various types of livestock, cattle, sheep and/or horses.
This data release supports the manuscript: Walker, R.H. and A.W. Walters. 2019. A mechanistic understanding of ecological responses to anthropogenic surface disturbance in headwater streams. Ecosphere 10(10):e02907. 10.1002/ecs2.2907. It includes one data set with physicochemical and biological data from 40 stream sites (100 m length) in the Wyoming Range for summer 2016.

The standardized precipitation evapotranspiration index (SPEI) was summarized for the Upper Green River Basin to quantify climate variability over the last century. The SPEI incorporates both precipitation and temperature data, therefore the index has the capacity to include the effects of temperature variability on drought. The SPEI considers the difference between precipitation and potential evapotranspiration to calculate a climatic water balance at a given time scale (Vicente-Serrano et al. 2010). The number of standard deviations the climatic water balance deviates from the long-term mean for a given time period represents the SPEI for the time period. Here, I calculated the SPEI for each water year (Oct–Sept)...
These data indicate legal access points for fishing and boating recreational use on various rivers and lakes within the Pinedale Field Office (PFO). The access locations are on land managed by either the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) or the Wyoming Game and Fish Department (WG&F). Most locations have legal vehicle access to at the most 1/4 mile from the water. Some include boating access locations also. Water bodies included are the Green River, the New Fork River, the East Fork River, Pine Creek, Boulder Creek, Fremont Lake and Boulder Lake.

This data release supports the manuscript entitled "Warmer temperatures interact with salinity to weaken physiological facilitation to stress in freshwater fishes", and includes one data set with values representing the physiological responses of freshwater fishes to salinity and temperature gradients in field surveys from the Wyoming Range (2015 to 2017) and laboratory experiments (2017-2018).

Information on the sources of sediment production and amount is necessary to better understand the relationship between landscape-scale ecosystem drivers (fire, large-scale invasive species removal, recreation, oil and gas development, and grazing) and sediment loading in rivers, streams, and reservoirs. An improved understanding of the sources of sediment production and the contribution of each source to total sediment load would enable resource managers to better locate and design conservation strategies to reduce sediment loading, and improve water quality, native fish habitats, and upland vegetation cover. This project will conduct an erosion and sediment supply analysis in a portion of the Upper Green River...
