This map service contains GIS data in NAD83 projection from the EPA Office of Water for HUC2, HUC4, HUC6, HUC8, HUC10 and HUC12 polygons for the USDA Watershed Boundary Dataset. It is available as a WFS, WMS, and REST service as well as the native MapServer service.
Derived from 1:250,000-scale USGS HUC 8 boundaries, this dataset represents the soil fine gravel fraction for the western USA. A weighted average was created for each HUC 8 watershed using approximate EMAP physical habitat substrate criteria. The values are expressed as percent by weight.
Derived from 1:250,000-scale USGS HUC 8 boundaries, this dataset represents the soil cobble fraction for the western USA. A weighted average was created for each HUC 8 watershed using approximate EMAP physical habitat substrate criteria. The values are expressed as percent by weight.
This dataset depicts portions of stream flow restoration priority areas (from the OR_FLowRestr coverage) that are on privately owned lands for the Klamath-Siskiyou ecoregion. Cell resolution is 30 m. The OR_FlowRestr coverage depicts stream flow restoration areas by watersded for some portions of western Oregon. The dataset shows stream flow restoration needs and priorities, developed by the Oregon Dept of Fish and Wildlife and the Water Resources Dept. Streamflow restoration priorities have been identified for all four seasons. The datasets show each river basin with ranking for stream flow restoration need, stream flow restoration optimism and the State's prioriteis for its restoration activities. A value of...
Derived from 1:250,000-scale USGS HUC 8 boundaries, this dataset represents the soil surface horizon clay fraction for the western USA. A weighted average was created for each HUC 8 watershed using approximate EMAP physical habitat substrate criteria. The values are expressed as percent by weight of the <2 mm fraction.
Derived from 1:250,000-scale USGS HUC 8 boundaries, this dataset represents the mass wasting susceptibility for the western USA. A weighted average was created for each HUC 8 watershed using approximate EMAP physical habitat substrate criteria. The values are expressed on a scale of 1 to 3, representing low to high susceptibility to mass wasting based on slope morphology.
Watersheds of Southest Asia with erosion estimates.
Derived from 1:250,000-scale USGS HUC 8 boundaries, this dataset represents the soil net sediment delivery computed iteratively, cell by cell for the western USA. A weighted average was created for each HUC 8 watershed using approximate EMAP physical habitat substrate criteria. The values are expressed as kg/ha/year.
Locations of Lake Michigan Coastal Wetlands (40 acres or more).
Derived from 1:250,000-scale USGS HUC 8 boundaries, this dataset represents the soil depth to the water table in feet.
This dataset provides a watershed index of surface drinking water importance, a watershed index of forest importance to surface drinking water, and a watershed index to highlight the extent to which development, fire, and insects and disease threaten forests important for surface drinking water. This tabular dataset is meant to be joined with the NRCS Watershed Boundary Dataset HUC-12. The results of this assessment provides information that can identify areas of interest for protecting surface drinking water quality. The spatial dataset can be incorporated into broad-scale planning, such as the State Forest Action Plans, and can be incorporated into existing decision support tools that currently lack spatial data...

Derived from 1:250,000-scale USGS HUC 8 boundaries, this dataset includes a suite of soil metric for use in landscape ecology studies.
This dataset is HUC6s attributed with the presence of hot springs and potential and known geothermal resources. This dataset is part of a larger groundwater project across the Pacific NW (Brown et al. 2009) region which has two primary goals: (1) develop tools to identify where and how groundwater is important to biodiversity conservation and (2) assess the pressing threats to the quantity and quality of that groundwater and develop strategies to abate those threats. Data and analyses conducted are intended for use at a statewide scale. Therefore, more detailed mapping may be necessary at local scales. For more information please contact the Oregon Field Office of The Nature Conservancy or see the following website...
A map service on the www depicting hydrologic unit boundary layers for the entire United States. Watershed boundaries provide a uniquely identified and uniform method of subdividing large drainage areas. Watershed boundaries are useful for numerous application programs supported by a variety of local, State, and Federal Agencies. This map service is intended to be used as a tool for water-resource management and planning activities, requiring a level of detail provided by large-scale map information. This map service consists of layers for each hydrologic unit code 2-12. Polygon features are attributed with hydrologic unit codes for 1st(Region), 2nd(Sub-Region), 3rd(Basin), and 4th(Sub-Basin) Hydrologic Unit Level...

This data set is a complete digital hydrologic unit boundary layer to the Subwatershed (12-digit) 6th level for the State of Illinois. This data set consists of geo-referenced digital data and associated attributes created in accordance with the "FGDC Proposal, Version 1.0 - Federal Standards For Delineation of Hydrologic Unit Boundaries 3/01/02"(http://www.ftw.nrcs.usda.gov/huc_data.html). Polygons are attributed with hydrologic unit codes for 4th level sub-basins, 5th level watersheds, 6th level subwatersheds, name, size, downstream hydrologic unit, type of watershed, non-contributing areas and flow modification. Arcs are attributed with the highest hydrologic unit code for each watershed, linesource and a metadata...
4th-level watersheds (HUC8) within basins (HUC6) intersecting the three eco-regions for the study (Colorado Plateau, Arizona/New Mexico Plateau, and Sonoran Desert). This is an extract from the national HUC8 dataset available at http://www.ncgc.nrcs.usda.gov/products/datasets/watershed/index.html .

In planning conservation and restoration projects, it is helpful to know where and what has been done in the past. Three databases of restoration projects, totaling 451 projects are included in this dataset. These projects were completed in the mid-1990s by the CA Fish and Game Department, US Fish and Wildlife, Bureau of Land Management and the Forest Service. This information is by no means complete, and ideally a database that includes all projects completed in the last couple of decades would be available for an analysis of restoration project prioritization. Restoration projects are often undertaken without an examination of the degree of success of prior projects. Developing sub-basin databases of past and...
