Water-quality data were collected by the Providence Water Supply Board (PWSB) from tributaries in the Scituate Reservoir drainage area, October 2016 through September 2017 (water year 2017). Water-quality samples were collected by the PWSB either monthly or quarterly at fixed stations on 36 tributaries in the Scituate Reservoir drainage area. These data were used to calculate instantaneous loads and yields of constituents in a report by the U.S. Geological Survey. Water-quality samples were collected following a strict sampling schedule so that water-quality samples would be representative of various weather conditions. Smelter slag containing copper and other trace elements is widespread in riverbed sediment of the upper Columbia River (UCR) of the United States. To evaluate potential risk to aquatic life concentrations of copper and other trace elements were measured in shallow pore-water and in river water samples collected near the sediment-water interface. This data release provides water chemistry results and quality assurance data for samples collected from Great Lakes tributaries in the states of Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, and New York. In total, 158 chemicals were analyzed which are primarily pharmaceuticals. Between one and four water samples were collected at 37 sampling locations between November 2017 and July 2018 resulting in a total of 87 environmental, 95 field replicate, and 15 field blank samples. Of the 158 chemicals analyzed, 23 chemicals were detected in at least one regular sample. Detections per site ranged from 0 to 12 chemicals at concentrations of 1.56 to 30900 nanograms per liter. This dataset describes irrigation water use in Kansas in 2015. The tabular data sets and associated maps in this data release represent water-quality data that were collected between April and November of 2017 and between July and November of 2019 to describe baseline conditions prior to or sometimes following treatments using herbicides or other methods to reduce the biomass of non-native water primrose (Ludwigia) within off-channel water bodies of the Willamette River near Albany and Keizer, Oregon. The water-quality parameters measured in this study included water temperature, specific conductance, pH, dissolved oxygen, turbidity, total chlorophyll, phycocyanin (blue-green algae pigment), and fluorescing dissolved organic matter in surface water.

Dataset was generated by performing water-balance computations for the Upper Colorado River Basin for the months October 1913 through September 2017. The basin area was first divided into 17,626 4-kim grid cells, and these were then grouped by sub-basin and annual precipitation into 960 subareas; the dataset includes a lookup table for this grouping. For each of the 960 subareas, the dataset gives the model's estimates of rainfall, snowfall, albedo, net radiation, snowmelt, potential evapotranspiration, actual evapotranspiration, total runoff, snow-water equivalent, soil-water storage, groundwater storage, and air temperature.

The Sauk River, a fedrally designated Wild and Scenic River, is one of the few large glacier-fed rivers in western Washington that is unconstrained by dams and drains a relatively pristine landscape which includes Glacier Peak, a glaciated stratovolcano. Water level and water temperature from Magnolia Spring were recorded with a level datalogger (HOBO U20-001-01-Ti; Onset Computer Corp., Bourne, MA) set to record every 15 min. The datalogger was attached to a Crystal River National Wildlife Refuge signpost (LAT 28.8913, LONG -82.5925). Data were reported in meters of water depth to the logger and degrees Celcius. Water temperature from Three Sisters Springs was recorded with a water temperature datalogger (HOBO U22; Onset Computer Corp., Bourne, MA) set to record every 15 min.
