This dataset depicts vegetation and land cover for Klamath Marsh NWR. It was created using eCognition software and multiple sources of imagery. Field data were also collected at two different time to assist with image interpretation/classification. Details: This dataset was created by interpreting and classifying multiple image sources. These include: July 2005 2.5 meter Quickbird multispectral imagery, July 2005 ASTER 15 meter multispectral imagery, July 2006 Landsat 30 meter multispectral imagery, and December 2005 ASTER 15 meter multispectral imagery. This polygon depicts the area open for waterfowl hunting at Salinas River NWR. This dataset is used for mapping purposes only and all hunters should consult the refuge prior to engaging in hunting. Hunting seasons and other restrictions apply.
Vegetation and land cover data for Upper Klamath NWR. This dataset is based on interpretation of 2014 near-infrared imagery produced by the National Aerial Imagery Program of the U.S. Department of Agriculture with input on the general vegetation composition provided by local refuge staff. Field data at the species level were not available and further work is needed to refine this product to meet the convention of the National Vegetation Classification System. In addition, no validation was performed on this dataset.

Vegetation and land cover data for Ellicott Slough NWR. This dataset was generated through interpretation of high resolution (1m spatial resolution) aerial photography from the National Agricultural Imagery Program (NAIP) , acquired in the summer of 2009. Field sampling was conducted in March 2010 to inform the interpretation process, but no formal classifcation accuracy assessment was conducted.

This dataset depicts staffed visitor stations within the Pacific Southwest Region of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Staffed visitor stations may be refuge offices that are open to the public during specified hours, or may be dedicated visitor centers. This dataset does not include kiosks or other areas which contain information for visitors but are not staffed. The locations of these stations are based on the USFWS Corporate Master Table, with additional editing and updates based on the input of field and visitor services staff.
