This shapefile contains landscape factors representing human disturbances summarized to local and network catchments of river reaches for the state of West Virginia. This dataset is the result of clipping the feature class 'NFHAP 2010 HCI Scores and Human Disturbance Data for the Conterminous United States linked to NHDPLUSV1.gdb' to the state boundary of West Virginia. Landscape factors include land uses, population density, roads, dams, mines, and point-source pollution sites. The source datasets that were compiled and attributed to catchments were identified as being: (1) meaningful for assessing fish habitat; (2) consistent across the entire study area in the way that they were assembled; (3) representative...

This product was updated. The newest version can be found here: https://www.sciencebase.gov/catalog/item/546a1937e4b04d4b7dbde8ef. Using a combination of tabular and spatial data queries, we identified 124,233 flowlines in the NHDPlusV2 that were created due to breaks in flowlines resulting from flowline intersection with quadrangle map boundaries. We found instances of this occurring in all 18 processing units of the NHDplusV2 dataset. To aid in managing for this characteristic of the NHDPlus, this EcoReach table (nhdplusv2_ecoreach.csv) assigns all flowlines into units that are representative of ecological stream reaches. Using techniques described in this metadata a similar table was developed for the NHDPlusV1...

Please see the most recent version of these data at https://doi.org/10.5066/F73B5X59. This shapefile is the official boundary of the Southeast Aquatic Resource Partnership and includes state boundaries. The boundary was originally developed by the United States Fish and Wildlife Service and was updated in 2013 to reflect revisions from the Southeast Aquatic Resource Partnership, a recognized Fish Habitat Partnership (FHP) of the National Fish Habitat Partnership.

This geodatabase contains landscape factors representing human disturbances summarized to local and network catchments of river reaches throughout the conterminous U.S. They include land uses, population density, roads, dams, mines, and point-source pollution sites. The source datasets that were compiled and attributed to catchments were identified as being: (1) meaningful for assessing fish habitat; (2) consistent across the entire study area in the way that they were assembled; (3) representative of conditions in the past 10 years, and (4) of sufficient spatial resolution that they could be used to make valid comparisons among local catchment units. In this data set, these variables are linked to the catchments...
This map service contains summaries of habitat condition indices (HCI scores) from the National Fish Habitat Action Plan (NFHAP) 2010 National Assessments for 12 digit Hydrological Unit Codes (HUC12s) of the United States. Initial HCI scores were developed in three separate assessments (Conterminous U.S., Hawaii, and Alaska) due to differences in data availability across these regions. In the NFHAP 2010 Alaska assesment HCI values were already attributed to HUC12s. For this reason values for Alaska in this map service are identical to those represented in the Alaska assessment. To summarize data into HUC12s for the Conterminous United States and Hawaii a length-weighted average was used (i.e. the cumulative HCI...
