This U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) data release consists of a point shapefile with the location of the sites used in a sampling program to assess the water quality at selected wells throughout Puerto Rico. The sampling was conducted by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) in cooperation with the Puerto Rico Environmental Quality Board (PREQB) during December 2015 to November 2016.

This data set contains links that are important to each species' habitat network. Those important links are scored based on the percent currently under protection status, projected change in climate suitability by the middle of the 21st century, and projected change in percent urbanized by the middle of the 21st century. Important links were identified from all links in the networks of each species based on their Integral Index of Connectivity (dIIC). Any links with dIIC scores > 0.9 or which connected to nodes with dIIC > 0.9 were retained here as "important" links.

Note: This data release has been superseded by https://doi.org/10.5066/P9N4MPIH Data release includes the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) estimate of spring nitrogen fluxes from nine tributaries to the Chesapeake Bay from 1985 to 2020. Data are presented from tributaries within the USGS River Input Monitoring (RIM) network identified by site numbers: 01491000, 01578310, 01594440, 01646580, 01668000, 01673000, 01674500, 02035000, 02041650. Periods of estimation include January through May and November through May. The estimates are made using up-to-date streamflow and all total nitrogen analyses available as of June 1 of the reporting year.

This folder contains 7 excel files with data from a household questionnaire survey (N=199) conducted for the Marshall Islands Climate and Migration project. The fieldwork took place in March and April 2017. Besides the excel file, the folder also contains the original questionnaire in PDF format. The questionniare looked at livelihood, perceptions of climate change and ecosystem services and migration behaviour. The excel files are 1 file for the main questionnaire data and 6 additional files with data from tables in the questionnaire. Each variable in the questionnaire starts with a Leter (A-K) and a number. This refers to the question number in the questionnaire. The databases uses 3 codes for missing values:...

The collection consists of (a) approximately 50 field notebooks from geologic mapping, including field maps showing outcrop locations corresponding to the field notes and in some cases draft copies of quadrangle geologic maps, (b) approximately 20 notebooks and associated sample location maps from the Chesapeake Bay Earth Science Study (CBESS), and (c) 1 notebook from the Hart-Miller Island Monitoring Study. Some notes are in pencil and may be difficult to read.

Beach profiles collected periodically, primarily along the Atlantic coast of Maryland, but also along Chesapeake Bay & tributary shorelines. This collection has not been fully inventoried or catalogued.

Collection consists of paper and electronic files of data from individual wells and springs that have been tested for water quality as part of an ongoing statewide assessment of ground-water quality. Data from the collection is documented in publications and annual administrative reports. Results of groundwater samples collected by the Maryland Geological Survey that were analyzed by the USGS National Water Quality lab have been entered into the USGS National Water Information System (NWIS). Some laboratory results of groundwater sample analyses from state or private labs exist only in paper and spreadsheet format at the Maryland Geological Survey and have not been fully inventoried or catalogeed.

The collection consists of Excel files describing each aquifer (pump) test, containing raw data, plots, and calculations of hydraulic properties (currently Coastal Plain only) and a list of references associated with the collection. Approximately 262 well locations currently have digital aquifer test data; approximately 345 well locations have hydraulic properties described in a published report. This collection will continue to expand as data from additional wells is acquired. The long-term goal is to incorporate pump test data from non-Coastal Plain provinces/Piedmont of Maryland as well.

This part of DS 781 presents data for the faults for the geologic and geomorphic map of the Offshore of Scott Creek map area, California. The vector data file is included in "Faults_OffshoreScottCreek.zip," which is accessible from https://doi.org/10.5066/F7CJ8BJW. This project initiated the first large-scale Tribal government discussions on the relationship of scientific research and traditional knowledge in the activities of the NPLCC. The project: 1. Reviewed existing approaches and protocols related to scientific research and traditional knowledge in the Pacific Northwest, characterized different types of traditional knowledge and the contexts in which these are encountered; 2. Initiated discussions among the 21 member Tribes of the Northwest Indian Fisheries Commission (all other Tribes are welcome to join); 3. Reported on their views; 4. Proposed a framework for the use of TK based on discussions and presented it for a possible consensus by all participants; and 5. Conducted...

The project had 2 broad objectives. The first objective was to meet the needs of the Yurok Tribe in collecting and documenting TEK to inform tribal planning related to climate change impacts to culturally significant wildlife and habitats that support these species. This information is crucial to informing Yurok Tribe resource managers and the Yurok Council as it embarks on climate change adaptation planning. The Yurok Tribes Council and Environmental, Forestry, Wildlife, Fisheries and Cultural Resources Programs will benefit from the knowledge and wisdom gained from the project as the Tribe prepares for climate change impacts. The second objective was to assist the NPLCC in its efforts to integrate Tribal TEK into...
