This contain a zip folder of comma delimited (CSV) files for each of the 19 tables in the report. It is produced automatically upon compiling the R Quarto code. Column headers are difference than in the tables in the report but order is exactly the same. Refer to the report to understand meaning of the columns. Each cell of the tables contain a management index estimate or the standard error of the estimate.

This collection of files contains temperature data files (.ttd files) downloaded directly from Tiny Tag devices, as well exported temperature data as .csv files for each nest monitored with Tiny Tags by year. File names include Tiny Tag number, site, year, and nest ID..ttd files can be viewed using Tinytag Explorer. Note, however, that the times displayed by Tinytag Explorer are calculated when the data is displayed and depend on the daylight saving settings of the PC at that time. For example, if a .ttd file is opened before and after DST settings change, then all times displayed by Tinytag Explorer will go forward or back. All .csv files were exported using the Tinytag Explorer during the same daylight savings...

The daily flight tracks of the 1997-2002 aerial summer Southeast Alaska Nearshore Waterbird Survey were recorded to an onboard computer using the custom survey software RECORD (John I. Hodges, FWS-MBM-Alaska, retired). The tracks were recorded by capturing the plane’s location from a GPS every five seconds as long as the software was running. The software was started at some time between the aircraft’s engine start and the start of the survey, and was shut down at some time between the end of the survey and engine shut-down. The tracks thus include the aircraft’s flight to and from the airport base. The 29 track files are named TRMMDDYY_AIR.csv, where MM = month, DD = day, and YY = year.

Differential GPS locations of nest sites. Files organized by year. No manipulation of files has occurred, they are those directly received from Craig Tweedie or Stephen Escarzaga, The University of Texas at El Paso, Department of Biological Sciences. These files can be found in the raw data folder. The data providers have invested considerable effort in QA/QC, but it is possible that undetected errors remain. It is strongly recommended that careful attention be paid to the contents of the metadata file associated with these data to evaluate data set limitations, restrictions, or intended use. The originators of this dataset shall not be held liable for improper or incorrect use of the data described and/or contained...

This collection of files contains separate excel files for aquatic, dry, and mesic invertebrate samples each year from 2010-2021; additional file for data from 2008-2009. Files from 2010-2021 were produced by Aquatic Biology Associates and provide information on a variety of metrics. Metadata is included in the excel files. Files from 2008-2009 were produced by Brooke Hill. These files can be found in the raw data folder.A portion of these data are available on the NSF Arctic Data Center (https://doi.org/10.18739/A23R0PT35).The data providers have invested considerable effort in QA/QC, but it is possible that undetected errors remain. It is strongly recommended that careful attention be paid to the contents of the...

This data release contains observation data, design transects, design strata, analysis estimates output, and associated metadata from the Alaska Arctic Coastal Plain Aerial Breeding Pair Survey. The Alaska Arctic Coastal Plain Aerial Breeding Pair Survey provides data on distribution, abundance, and trend of 33 bird species that nest in northern Alaska. The survey has been conducted in its current form annually since 2007 with the exception of years 2020 and 2021. Methods generally follow the standard operating procedures for the Waterfowl Breeding Population and Habitat Survey. Primary uses of the survey data are to evaluate recovery status of Spectacled Eider (Somateria fischeri) and Steller’s Eider (Polysticta...

This collection contains files associated with data analysis of Dunlin brood survival found in Saalfeld, S.T., B.L. Hill, C.M. Hunter, C.J. Frost, and R.B. Lanctot. 2021. Warming Arctic summers unlikely to increase productivity of shorebirds through renesting. Nature Scientific Reports 11:15277.Directories include: input_files, output_files, R_code, program_mark_files, and figure_files. Found in the analysis_output folder on the RDR.Information for the Dunlin brood survival project were obtained concurrently with information obtained for the Utqiagvik shorebird project and information on chicks and nests included in these files may also be contained within the Utqiagvik shorebird project archive (file://ifw7ro-file.fws.doi.net/datamgt/mbm/mbmsh_009_Utqiagvik_shorebird_project).Th...

Collection of video files taken of avian nests by Plotwatcher Pro–Time Lapse cameras during field work conducted on the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. Photos are organized in folders by year. Naming convention for each photo includes nest ID and camera number. Within each NestID folder are a series of TLV files saved directly from cameras. TLV files can be saved as an AVI file to view in Windows. Note, in 2019 camera date and times were not set correctly prior to deployment. See ‘ANWR nest survival nest data’ for date and time as set on the camera at time of deployment. The data providers have invested considerable effort in QA/QC, but it is possible that undetected errors remain. It is strongly recommended that...

This collection of files contains raw location data for shorebirds tagged with tracking devices and can be found in the raw data folder.Directories include: Argos_REPH, Argos_WHIM, GPS_PESA_AMGP_WHIM, and Pinpoint_SESA_DUNL.Argos_REPH: contains raw location data for Red Phalaropes equipped with 2-gram solar PTT tags manufactured by Microwave Telemetry, Inc in 2019 and 2020. Raw data files include annual PRV/A DS data files downloaded from the Argos website (http://argos-system.org) (.txt files) as well as data automatically downloaded by the Movebank website (www.movebank.org) (.csv file). Also included are data files (.kml and .txt files) obtained from processing the raw PRV/A DS data files with the Microwave MTI...

This collection of files contains independent assessments of both the Tiny tag and camera data, as well as temperature actograms produced by Martin Bulla in his assessment of the Tiny Tag data. Each assessment is saved as a separate file, containing the name of the reviewer in the file name. Note, that .ttd files viewed using Tinytag Explorer may have assessment times that are off by an hour, as the times displayed by Tinytag Explorer are calculated when the data is displayed and depend on the daylight saving settings of the PC at that time. For example, if a .ttd file is opened before and after DST settings change, then all times displayed by Tinytag Explorer will go forward or back. Also, in 2019 camera date and...

The daily boat tracks of the 1997-2001 summer skiff-based double-sampling surveys were recorded to an onboard computer using the custom survey software RECORD (John I. Hodges, FWS-MBM-Alaska, retired). The tracks were recorded by capturing the skiff’s location from a GPS every five seconds as long as the software was running. The software was started at some time between the boat’s engine start and the start of the survey, and was shut down at some time between the end of the survey and engine shut-down. The tracks may thus include the boat’s travel to and from the home base. Note that the following boat tracks are missing: all 1997 tracks; one track on 08/12/1998; one track on 08/08/2001; one track on 08/09/2001.

This collection of files includes audio files downloaded directly from acoustic monitors in 2022, providing sound recordings of shorebird PRISM plots. Using automatic recorders allows for a consistent, unbiased, and regular data collection during the whole summer and will be used to verify PRISM survey data and determine if shorebirds can be monitored remotely using audiorecording devicies. Files are organized in folders by plot. These data do not represent all locations within the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge where specific avian species may be present, as surveys only occurred in discrete survey plots. Additionally, individual birds may have went undetected within survey plots, as detectability was likely less...
